📋 Description

• • The Data Protection Officer ensures St. Jude Children's Research Hospital meets its obligations under HIPAA, GDPR, and other domestic and international data protection laws, serving as the statutorily designated data protection authority for GDPR and international requirements while collaborating with the Chief Privacy Officer on U.S.-centric strategy.
• • Day-to-day responsibilities include co-developing enterprise data protection governance, acting as the independent liaison with GDPR and international regulators, advising on data protection for clinical and research activities, reviewing vendor agreements, developing training programs, harmonizing policies, serving on governance committees, executing complex contracts, mentoring legal staff, and delivering data protection metrics to executive leadership.
