This fully remote position offers the opportunity to work nationwide, supporting the Children’s Bureau in enhancing the quality and integrity of child welfare data systems.
- • As a Data Quality Expert, you will play a pivotal role in guiding the implementation and oversight of statewide and tribal automated child welfare information systems, specifically focusing on Comprehensive Child Welfare Information Systems (CCWIS) regulations. Your expertise will be instrumental in ensuring compliance with federal data quality requirements outlined in CFR 1355.52(d).
- • You will serve as a subject matter expert, providing essential technical assistance to federal, state, and tribal audiences. This involves developing robust data quality plans and leveraging automation to streamline and improve data quality processes, a key aspect of modernizing these vital systems.
- • A core responsibility will be to independently review CCWIS data quality plans, meticulously evaluating their compliance with federal regulations. This requires a deep understanding of the regulatory landscape and the ability to identify potential gaps or areas for improvement.
- • You will collaborate closely with federal staff, offering expert guidance to states and tribes on developing effective data quality plans, conducting biennial reviews, and implementing data quality automation strategies. This collaborative approach ensures consistent application of standards across different jurisdictions.
- • Your role will involve critically analyzing state and tribal systems to pinpoint data quality risks, identify inconsistencies, and flag compliance issues. This analytical work is crucial for proactively addressing problems before they impact service delivery or reporting.
- • You will be responsible for drafting comprehensive reports detailing your data quality review findings. These reports will include clear, actionable recommendations for corrective actions to help agencies improve their data management practices.
- • A significant contribution will be the preparation of an inventory and guide of data quality automation tools and their associated functions. This resource will empower agencies to explore and adopt technological solutions for enhancing data accuracy and efficiency.
- • You will have the opportunity to develop and lead workgroups and webinars focused on providing targeted technical assistance. These sessions will disseminate best practices for CCWIS data quality to states and tribes, fostering a community of learning and continuous improvement.
- • This position demands a proactive and analytical mindset, with the ability to translate complex data quality concepts into practical guidance for diverse audiences.
- • You will contribute to ICF's mission of helping clients solve their most complex challenges by ensuring the reliability and accuracy of data that underpins critical social services.
- • The role requires strong organizational skills and an exceptional attention to detail to manage multiple reviews, reports, and technical assistance activities effectively.
- • You will work independently, demonstrating self-motivation and the ability to manage your workload with minimal supervision, while also collaborating effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders.
- • This is an exciting opportunity to make a tangible impact on the lives of children and families by improving the systems that support them.
- • You will be part of a dynamic team at ICF, a leading global advisory and technology services provider, known for its commitment to innovation and client success.
- • The position is fully remote, offering flexibility and the ability to work from anywhere within the United States.
- • You will engage with various stakeholders, requiring excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate complex technical details clearly and concisely.
- • Problem-solving will be a key aspect of the role, as you help agencies overcome data quality challenges and achieve compliance.
- • Your work will directly support the federal government's efforts to ensure the effectiveness and efficiency of child welfare services nationwide.
- • This role offers a chance to deepen your expertise in child welfare data systems and federal regulations, contributing to significant policy and operational improvements.
