- • Support end-user reporting requirements by collaborating with Business Analysts and stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document data needs across claims, policyholder services, contact center, new business, and underwriting functions.
- • Administer and maintain weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual dashboards and reports using Tableau, Alteryx, and other analytical tools to deliver consistent, accurate performance metrics to business partners and leadership.
- • Design, develop, test, and validate new reports and dashboards of simple complexity, ensuring alignment with business objectives and data governance standards.
- • Identify opportunities to automate manual reporting workflows using Alteryx and other tools to improve efficiency, reduce errors, and increase scalability of data delivery.
- • Perform data analysis, validation, and mapping across enterprise data warehouses and databases, leveraging company-supported tools including SQL, Python, Tableau, Power BI, and Alteryx.
- • Support the development and enhancement of reporting capabilities across analytical platforms through testing, feedback, and process input.
- • Apply continuous improvement processes and internal control standards to ensure “One Source of Truth” reporting across all business units.
- • Develop and maintain forecasting models of simple complexity to project business needs, including sales trends, agent performance, claims experience, and operational expenses.
- • Conduct basic financial analyses such as cost-benefit evaluations, cost estimates, and decision support analyses to inform business decisions and resource allocation.
- • Analyze business results and risk exposure by identifying key drivers of deviations from plan, including staffing utilization, processing efficiency, and persistency rates.
- • Provide ad hoc data analysis to improve departmental efficiency and effectiveness, responding to urgent business requests with timely, fact-based insights.
- • Document all data sources, transformation logic, validation steps, and reporting methodologies to ensure auditability and knowledge transfer.
- • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business questions into analytical solutions and present findings clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
- • Ensure all reporting and analysis adheres to regulatory, compliance, and data privacy standards within the insurance and financial services industry.
- • Participate in system upgrades, tool enhancements, and data model improvements by providing user feedback and testing new features in Tableau, Alteryx, and other platforms.
- • Maintain awareness of evolving data trends and best practices in business intelligence and reporting within the insurance sector.
- • Work within Central or Eastern Time zone hours to align with team and business partner availability.
- • Occasional travel to corporate offices in Carmel, IN; Chicago, IL; or Orlando, FL may be required.
🎯 Requirements
- • Bachelor’s degree in business, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, or other quantitative discipline OR equivalent to 8 years of relevant experience
- • 1 year of data analysis experience in insurance, financial services, or operations consulting
- • Intermediate/advanced technical skills in Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Word, Business Objects, Tableau, and Alteryx
- • Strong verbal and written communication skills for presenting fact-based analyses to business partners
