Full Job Description
đź“‹ Description
- • Own the end-to-end pricing analytics engine for Navient’s private student-loan and refinance portfolios, translating raw data into strategies that move Net Interest Income, volume, and credit quality in measurable ways.
- • Architect and maintain automated SQL + Python pipelines that surface weekly and monthly pricing performance to Finance, Risk, Product, and Marketing stakeholders; ensure every dashboard is decision-ready, version-controlled, and refreshable in minutes—not days.
- • Design and execute statistically rigorous A/B and multivariate tests on price points, promotional discounts, and channel-specific offers; quantify elasticity curves and conversion lift to recommend optimal pricing levers for each customer segment and credit tier.
- • Build predictive models (logistic, survival, gradient-boosting, or Bayesian) that forecast application conversion, borrower prepayment speeds, and lifetime profitability under varying macro-economic scenarios; stress-test assumptions against Fed-rate shocks, unemployment spikes, and competitor rate moves.
- • Partner with Treasury and Risk to incorporate funding-cost forecasts, capital requirements, and risk-adjusted return targets into pricing algorithms; ensure every basis-point change is defensible to regulators and accretive to ROE.
- • Translate complex model outputs into crisp narratives for executive leadership: deliver board-ready memos, ROI decks, and scenario playbooks that influence quarterly pricing committee decisions and multi-year product roadmaps.
- • Segment the customer base by credit behavior, life-stage, and channel preference; uncover pockets of untapped demand or margin leakage, then co-create targeted offers with Product and Marketing that balance growth, profitability, and fair-lending compliance.
- • Continuously benchmark Navient’s rates, fees, and value props against fintech disruptors and traditional banks; maintain a living competitive-intel database that feeds real-time alerts when market moves threaten volume or margin.
- • Establish a center of excellence for pricing science: document code, maintain model governance checklists, and mentor junior analysts in reproducible research practices that satisfy internal audit and external regulators.
- • Drive cross-functional alignment by embedding with squads across Finance (forecasting), Risk (scorecards), Product (feature design), and Marketing (campaign optimization); ensure pricing logic is reflected in origination systems, CRM triggers, and borrower-facing disclosures.
- • Innovate on next-generation pricing frameworks—think dynamic, personalized offers delivered in real time—while safeguarding transparency and borrower understanding; pilot machine-learning uplift models that respect fair-lending guardrails.
- • Monitor post-booking performance: track early-payment defaults, refinance churn, and customer lifetime value to refine future pricing vintages and improve predictive accuracy over multiple economic cycles.
