📋 Description

• As a Data Scientist on Pluralsight’s Data Science and Machine Learning (DSML) team, you will drive the end-to-end development of machine learning models and algorithms that power product innovation and deliver actionable insights to enhance customer experiences and business outcomes.
• You will take ownership of projects from concept through prototyping, testing, and deployment into production, ensuring models are robust, scalable, and aligned with strategic goals.
• Day to day, you will develop and refine machine learning models, including work in NLP, LLMs, forecasting, recommendation systems, and causal inference, translating business problems into technical solutions.
• You will collaborate closely with data scientists, ML engineers, and product stakeholders to define requirements, validate assumptions, and integrate models into customer-facing applications.
• You will establish rigorous performance metrics, build automated test suites, and create clear visualizations to monitor model behavior, drift, and effectiveness over time.
• You will communicate complex technical findings and recommendations to both technical and non-technical audiences, enabling data-informed decision-making across the organization.
• You will self-manage deliverables, troubleshoot ambiguous or complex data challenges, and apply innovative approaches to improve model accuracy and reliability.

🎯 Requirements

• 3+ years of hands-on professional experience in data science, machine learning, or a closely related field, with a proven record of delivering impactful projects from concept to production.
• Strong proficiency in SQL and Python, including experience with data manipulation, modeling, and scripting for analytical and ML workflows.
• Demonstrated experience working with NLP, large language models (LLMs), forecasting, recommendation engines, search, or causal inference techniques.

• Competitive compensation with an annual US base salary range of $121,600 - $160,000, plus bonus eligibility based on performance and company results.
