• As a Data Scientist at Ninja Holdings, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our data-driven strategies and optimizing our core financial products. You will leverage your expertise in advanced statistical modeling, machine learning, and data analytics to drive significant business impact. This role offers a unique opportunity to work with a dynamic, lean, and innovative team in a growth-stage company, contributing directly to our fight to disrupt consumer finance.
• Your primary responsibility will be to build and refine predictive models that optimize lending decisions. This involves employing advanced statistical modeling techniques and simulation to forecast creditworthiness, predict default probabilities, and identify optimal lending parameters. You will delve deep into consumer risk behavior trends, analyzing their impact on our existing portfolio and uncovering new business opportunities through sophisticated data analysis.
• Collaboration is key in this role. You will work closely with our talented software engineering team to support the implementation of these models into our production systems. This includes performing rigorous post-release checks and analyses to ensure model performance, accuracy, and stability, making necessary adjustments as needed.
• You will also contribute to the development and enhancement of our technical tools and platforms. This involves standardizing and streamlining the model development lifecycle, from initial conception and training to ongoing monitoring and maintenance. Your efforts will help create a more efficient and robust data science infrastructure.
• Establishing key performance metrics (KPIs) and developing automated reporting dashboards will be another critical aspect of your work. You will utilize your proficiency in SQL and Python to extract, transform, and visualize data, providing clear and actionable insights into business performance and model effectiveness for various stakeholders.
• Designing and evaluating A/B tests for new models and underwriting strategies is essential. You will meticulously plan experiments, analyze the results, and provide data-backed recommendations for implementation or iteration, ensuring continuous improvement of our financial products and risk management practices.
• You will engage with cross-functional teams across the organization, including product, engineering, and marketing, to explore novel ways of extracting valuable insights from our vast datasets. Your ability to translate complex data findings into concise and actionable business strategies will be crucial for informing senior management and guiding strategic decisions.
• This role requires a blend of technical acumen, analytical rigor, and strong communication skills. 🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field (e.g., Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Engineering, or a related discipline).
• Minimum of 2 years of professional experience in data analytics, statistical modeling, or a similar quantitative role.
• Proven experience with relational databases and proficiency in SQL for data extraction and manipulation.
• Strong programming experience with Python, including relevant libraries for data science (e.g., Pandas, NumPy, Scikit-learn).
• Excellent quantitative and problem-solving skills, with meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to data accuracy.
• Demonstrated ability to support and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
