- • Own the end-to-end lifecycle of demand-forecasting models that eliminate stock-outs during Black Friday, holiday rushes, and new-product launches while protecting Eight Sleep’s cash position from excess inventory. You will architect Prophet-plus models that ingest historical sales, web traffic, macro-economic indicators, and marketing spend to generate daily, weekly, and monthly forecasts with quantified uncertainty bands that Finance, Ops, and Growth teams can trust.
- • Design and deploy marketing-spend optimization algorithms that move us beyond static ROAS targets. Your models will ingest channel-level performance, creative fatigue curves, seasonality, and macro trends to recommend budget reallocation in near-real time, shaving points off CAC and unlocking millions in incremental revenue.
- • Build statistically rigorous experimentation frameworks for incrementality testing across Meta, Google, YouTube, affiliate, and emerging channels. You will own power-analysis, synthetic-control construction, and post-test readouts that the Growth team uses to decide whether to scale or kill campaigns within days—not weeks.
- • Create multi-touch attribution models that reconcile our complex customer journey (podcast → YouTube → paid search → referral → purchase) and feed clean, de-duplicated data back into ad-platform APIs so bidding algorithms optimize on truth, not double-counted conversions.
- • Partner with Supply-Chain, Finance, and Growth leadership to translate ambiguous questions (“How much inventory should we air-freight for the next drop?”) into quantitative hypotheses, then deliver dashboards, notebooks, and slide decks that make the recommendation obvious and the ROI transparent.
- • Establish MLOps best practices: version-controlled pipelines, automated retraining, feature stores, and monitoring that catches drift before it costs us money. You will mentor junior analysts and set the technical bar for data science across the company.
- • Maintain a weekly cadence of deep-dive analyses that uncover hidden growth levers—e.g., identifying under-penetrated zip codes where high ACV customers cluster, or detecting early signals of churn in nightly sleep-stage data that Marketing can act on.
- • Present findings to the executive team in crisp, narrative-driven memos and live walkthroughs. Your storytelling will turn complex regressions into clear go / no-go decisions that move millions of dollars.
- • Thrive in a remote-first, EST-time-zone culture that values velocity and ownership. Expect 60-hour weeks during Q4 forecasting sprints and product launches, balanced by flexible PTO when the pressure lifts.
- • Champion ethical data use and privacy, ensuring every model and experiment complies with GDPR, CCPA, and our internal member-trust standards.
