- • As a Data Scientist Intern at Shift Technology, you will contribute to the development of AI-powered solutions that transform insurance operations, including fraud detection, anti-money laundering, and claims automation, directly supporting the company’s mission to deliver accurate, explainable, and secure AI to global insurers.
- • Day to day, you will set up and deploy data processing pipelines (batch or real-time), clean and extract information from diverse data types (structured, text, documents, images), calibrate fraud detection models, conduct R&D in machine learning, NLP, and image analysis, collaborate with clients to refine solutions, support sales through product demos, and engage in the full product lifecycle across sales, legal, product, and engineering teams.
- • You will join a highly international and innovative team of data scientists at Shift Technology, a leading AI platform for insurance trusted by hundreds of global insurers, where 40% of staff are data scientists and the culture emphasizes innovation, trust, and transformation of the insurance industry through a horizontal, low-bureaucracy structure with hybrid work flexibility.
- • Over the 6-month internship, you will gain hands-on experience in production-grade data science, develop client-facing and cross-functional collaboration skills, deepen expertise in ML/NLP/image analysis applied to real insurance problems, and receive mentorship from experienced AI researchers, with strong potential for conversion to a full-time role based on performance.
🎯 Requirements
- • Currently enrolled as a master's degree student in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Machine Learning, and/or Big Data
- • Ability to provide a signed internship agreement (Convention de stage) for 6 months and availability to start on August 31st
- • Experience in object-oriented programming (OOP) via internships, academic, or personal projects, with C# experience as a plus
- • Comfortable interacting with clients and able to communicate clearly in English
- • Fluent proficiency in French (mandatory)
