Database Administrator (DBA) – Oracle

📋 Description

• • Serve as the Oracle database authority for Codebeamer, PTC’s Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) platform, advising development teams on SQL/PLSQL optimization, schema design, and built-in database tuning.
• • Design and maintain database monitoring and observability using Oracle diagnostic and monitoring tools such as AWR, ASH, and execution plans.
• • Proactively identify and resolve performance, scalability, and reliability issues in production Oracle environments.
• • Lead advanced troubleshooting of complex database problems including performance degradation, locking, contention, and resource exhaustion.
• • Define and enforce database best practices and operational standards across all Codebeamer environments.
• • Work directly with customers to monitor, tune, and optimize on-premises and private cloud Oracle instances.
• • Collaborate with application engineers, DevOps, cloud, and support teams to ensure reliable database operations across on-premises and cloud deployments.
• • Participate in occasional on-site customer engagements as required to support production database systems.
• • Ensure database security, availability, and scalability for global enterprise customers using Codebeamer.
• • Provide technical guidance and documentation to internal teams and external customers on Oracle database configurations and performance improvements.
• • Maintain high standards of operational excellence through continuous monitoring, capacity planning, and proactive issue resolution.
• • Support hybrid deployment models by managing database systems in both on-premises and cloud environments.
• • Engage in customer-facing activities requiring clear communication with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• • Contribute to learning and development initiatives by gaining exposure to cloud technologies and modern DevOps practices.
• • Operate within a collaborative, international work environment focused on innovation and problem-solving through cutting-edge technologies.
