As part of our global team of over 2,700 dedicated Kaizeners, representing more than 40 nationalities across three continents, you will be instrumental in maintaining and enhancing the performance, security, and scalability of our critical MongoDB infrastructure.
• • In this remote role based in Brazil, you will be entrusted with the comprehensive management and meticulous maintenance of multiple, complex MongoDB database servers. Your expertise will span across various environments, utilizing both MongoDB Atlas and Ops Manager to ensure unwavering availability and optimal performance. This is a hands-on position where you will be directly responsible for the health and efficiency of our data, playing a crucial role in our continuous pursuit of excellence.
• • A core aspect of your responsibility will involve the strategic design and seamless implementation of robust redundancy and fail-over strategies. You will proactively monitor database performance, meticulously tune configurations, and identify key areas for enhancement to prevent potential bottlenecks and ensure smooth operations. Your deep understanding of MongoDB's architecture will be vital in configuring and maintaining replica sets and sharded clusters, essential for supporting our ever-growing scalability and resilience requirements.
• • You will be the guardian of our data integrity, defining and implementing sophisticated backup strategies that strictly adhere to data retention policies and compliance mandates. Optimizing queries and refining indexing strategies will be a daily focus, ensuring that our applications can access and process data with maximum efficiency. Furthermore, you will be responsible for enforcing stringent best practices for data security, including meticulous user access control, robust data encryption, and unwavering compliance with all relevant regulatory standards.
• • This role demands a proactive and responsive approach, requiring you to diagnose and resolve production issues as they arise, operating within a 24x7 on-call rotation. Your analytical skills will be put to the test as you conduct thorough root cause analyses for any incidents, implementing effective corrective actions to prevent recurrence and continuously improve our systems. You will also play a key role in knowledge sharing by developing and documenting best practices for database maintenance, monitoring, migration, and fail-over strategies, contributing to the overall expertise of the team.
