📋 Description

• Manage and optimize Oracle 11g/19c RAC, MySQL 5.7/8, and PostgreSQL database systems across on-premises, AWS, and OCI cloud environments.
• Plan and execute database upgrades for Oracle and MySQL with minimal downtime across all production environments.
• Perform advanced troubleshooting, query performance tuning, and issue resolution for Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL, HAProxy, and Keepalived systems.
• Design, implement, and maintain database replication topologies including master-slave and master-master configurations.
• Develop and maintain automation scripts for database operations using Linux shell scripting, Python, Terraform, and Ansible.
• Manage backup and recovery operations using RMAN, mysqldump, pg_dump, and other tools to ensure RPO/RTO targets are consistently met.
• Implement and maintain database monitoring, alerting, and dashboards using Grafana, CloudWatch, or equivalent platforms.
• Collaborate with application development teams on schema design, query optimization, and capacity planning to support scalable applications.
• Participate in on-call rotations as the escalation point for critical database incidents, ensuring rapid response and resolution.
• Document database architectures, operational runbooks, and procedural guidelines to ensure knowledge sharing and operational consistency.
• Apply Git-based workflows and CI/CD practices to manage database schema changes and deployments in a controlled, auditable manner.
• Work effectively across global time zones as part of a distributed engineering team to support 24/7 database operations.
• Ensure high availability, performance, and data integrity of database platforms serving a globally distributed customer base.
• Maintain compliance with operational standards and security best practices for database infrastructure across hybrid cloud environments.

🎯 Requirements

• 3+ years of hands-on experience as a Database Engineer or DBA in production environments
• Strong expertise in Oracle 11g/19c RAC administration, including RMAN backup/restore, patching, and query optimization
• Solid experience with MySQL 5.7/8 administration, replication strategies (master-slave, master-master), and performance tuning
• Proficiency in Linux systems administration (Ubuntu/RHEL-based) and shell scripting
• Experience with automation and infrastructure-as-code tools: Python, Terraform, Ansible
• Familiarity with high-availability components: HAProxy, Keepalived, or equivalent load balancing and failover solutions
