- • At Novartis, we are at the forefront of reimagining medicine, dedicated to improving and extending lives globally. Our mission is to combine breakthrough scientific discoveries with advanced technological solutions and an unwavering commitment to patients, caregivers, and healthcare professionals. Innovation at Novartis extends far beyond the realm of drug discovery; it encompasses how we conceptualize, develop, test, and deploy novel approaches to engage, educate, and empower decision-making within complex healthcare ecosystems.
- • The Innovation Lab (iLab) serves as a global hub for accelerating the adoption of emerging technologies and fostering new methodologies. This role, based within Novartis Ireland, is an integral part of this international iLab network, requiring close collaboration with global partners.
- • As a Decision Intelligence Solutionist specializing in Metaverse, Augmented Reality (AR), Virtual Reality (VR), Extended Reality (XR), and immersive applications (MAVA), you will be a hands-on analyst and solution architect. Your primary function will be to bring structure and clarity to ambiguous challenges, leveraging your analytical prowess to drive innovation.
- • You will be instrumental in translating nascent technology signals into well-defined hypotheses, robust impact models, comprehensive KPI frameworks, and actionable, decision-ready insights. Your contributions will directly support the rigorous evaluation of experiments, pilot programs, and scaling initiatives, ensuring they are executed with speed, precision, and strict adherence to Novartis' governance protocols, data integrity standards, and business value expectations.
- • This position is ideally suited for a highly analytical professional with a keen curiosity for Artificial Intelligence (AI) and a passion for innovation. You will thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, with ample opportunities to grow your expertise within the specialized fields of Decision Intelligence and technological innovation.
- • A core responsibility will be to identify and meticulously evaluate emerging opportunities within the MAVA and immersive technology landscape. This involves continuous market scanning, technology trend analysis, and behavioral pattern recognition, translating early indicators into clear, actionable insights that inform strategic decisions.
- • You will be tasked with assessing and prioritizing innovation use cases through rapid, evidence-based evaluations. This includes documenting all assumptions and preparing structured inputs essential for experimental design, funding proposals, and stage-gate reviews, ensuring a data-driven approach to innovation.
- • A significant aspect of the role involves modeling the potential business impact and value of MAVA initiatives. You will support Return on Investment (ROI), Net Present Value (NPV), and scenario analyses, effectively translating complex technical and experiential concepts into compelling business impact narratives that resonate with stakeholders.
- • You will define and operationalize robust measurement frameworks, establishing critical North Star metrics, leading and lagging Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), and intuitive dashboards. These tools will be crucial for tracking performance, identifying risks, and monitoring progress across both pilot projects and scaled implementations.
- • Supporting experimentation and learning cycles is paramount. You will contribute to the design and analysis of A/B tests, causal analyses, User Experience (UX) studies, and telemetry-based measurements, ensuring the highest standards of data quality and generating actionable outcomes that drive continuous improvement.
- • You will play a key role in embedding decision governance and responsible innovation principles into all prioritization, measurement, and evaluation processes. This includes developing and sharing reusable templates and best practices across the entire Innovation Lab network, fostering consistency and excellence.
- • Effectively communicating insights and recommendations is vital. You will synthesize complex evidence into concise decision briefs, executive summaries, and clear discussions of trade-offs, presenting findings to senior stakeholders in a manner that facilitates informed decision-making.
- • Finally, you will enable cross-lab alignment by championing and supporting consistent Decision Intelligence methodologies, evidence standards, KPI definitions, and value modeling approaches across all innovation verticals within the iLab, ensuring a unified and effective innovation ecosystem.
