As a Decision Research Scientist, you will be instrumental in advancing our decision systems – sophisticated software designed for structured reasoning under complex, real-world constraints. • • The core mandate of this role is to apply formal reasoning, advanced modeling techniques, and rigorous experimentation to solve complex enterprise decision problems. You will be responsible for designing formal decision frameworks, meticulously modeling intricate tradeoffs, navigating uncertainty, and addressing signal ambiguity. A key aspect of your contribution will be advancing our methodologies for structured reasoning and translating abstract decision theory and evaluation logic into practical, system-ready primitives. This is not academic research conducted in isolation; it is applied decision research with a direct impact on our product and clients. You will be the architect of structured judgment, ensuring our systems can make sound decisions even in the face of incomplete or ambiguous information.
• • Key responsibilities span several critical areas. In Applied Decision Modeling, you will formalize complex business questions into structured decision systems, developing models that accurately represent uncertainty, tradeoffs, and multi-variable constraints. You will design sophisticated evaluation logic tailored for ambiguous signal environments and develop robust methodologies for structured judgment. In the Research-to-Application Translation phase, you will be responsible for applying theoretical frameworks to tangible client use cases, testing decision logic against live or simulated environments, and identifying structural weaknesses in existing decision pathways. Your insights will lead to formal improvements with measurable rigor, directly enhancing system performance.
• • Furthermore, you will play a crucial role in Experimental Design. This involves designing controlled experiments to validate reasoning enhancements, defining precise metrics for decision quality and output consistency, and comparing alternative system architectures under clearly defined constraints. Your ability to rigorously test and validate new decision architectures will be paramount. You will also be involved in Cross-Functional Integration, collaborating closely with Research Engineers to prototype novel research concepts, providing clear and formal specifications to our Product and Engineering teams, and advising leadership on the long-term evolution of our decision-making capabilities. Your expertise will help shape the future direction of Rwazi’s decision intelligence.
