📋 Description

• The DeFi Market Surveillance Analyst will be part of the Global Intelligence & Investigations team at Polymarket, responsible for detecting, investigating, and remedying insider trading, market and oracle manipulation, coordinated wallet activity, automated-trading abuse, sanctions and illicit-finance exposure, and fraud.
• The role requires a unique blend of trade surveillance and blockchain analytics skills, with a focus on tracing flagged wallets across chains, bridges, and funding flows, and reviewing order-book and execution data for spoofing, layering, wash trading, and coordinated multi-account activity.
• The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of experience in trade surveillance, on-chain investigations, blockchain analytics, financial crime investigation, or exchange operations, with strong DeFi experience and hands-on wallet tracing experience.
• The role involves triaging incoming alerts and referrals, tracing flagged wallets, reviewing order-book and execution data, investigating manipulation risk, writing queries and building lightweight analysis, documenting every matter, and handling law enforcement and regulatory requests.
• The team is small and operates with a high degree of independence, working on cases that require genuine analytical depth and not template matching.
• The role requires strong written communication skills, specifically case documentation that holds up to legal and regulatory scrutiny.
• The ideal candidate will be familiar with how prediction markets and crypto-native platforms work, how markets resolve, and why their integrity matters.

🎯 Requirements

• 3+ years in trade surveillance, on-chain investigations, blockchain analytics, financial crime investigation, or exchange operations.
• Hands-on wallet tracing experience.
• Solid working knowledge of order-book manipulation typologies.
• Proficiency in SQL or a comparable query language.
• Strong written communication skills.
