📋 Description

• Handle inbound calls to provide financial education on complex retirement-related questions, including investment options and payment alternatives for plan participants.
• Offer guidance on qualified and non-qualified retirement plan benefits, including distributions, loans, and specific plan rules affecting participant decisions.
• Assist participants in understanding and selecting appropriate tools and services to optimize their retirement outcomes.
• Process transactional support requests for plan participants, ensuring accurate and timely resolution of account-related inquiries.
• Troubleshoot and research participant issues independently, developing effective solutions without direct supervision.
• Utilize analytical skills to interpret plan documents, regulatory requirements, and participant data to provide accurate advice.
• Apply conceptual thinking to simplify complex financial concepts and clarify ambiguous plan provisions for participants.
• Demonstrate active listening to identify both articulated and unarticulated participant needs during conversations.
• Ask probing questions to assess participant circumstances and tailor financial guidance accordingly.
• Use data-driven insights to persuade and influence participants toward objective, informed retirement decisions.
• Maintain a high degree of accuracy and personal accountability in all customer interactions and documentation.
• Operate effectively in a high-pressure, high-volume environment with seasonal fluctuations in call volume.
• Demonstrate sustained confidence and resilience during challenging or emotionally charged participant interactions.
• Acquire and maintain FINRA Series 6 license within six months of hire.
• Adhere to Alight’s camera-on culture during all virtual interviews and interactions.
• May be required to occasionally travel to one of Alight’s physical office locations.

🎯 Requirements

• Ability to acquire FINRA Series 6 license within 6 months of hire
• Demonstrated experience with Defined Contribution or Qualified Retirement Plans
• Proven customer service or financial services background
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for troubleshooting technical and plan-related issues
• Detail-oriented with high accuracy and personal accountability
• Ability to work effectively in a high-pressure, high-volume environment with seasonality
