  • • Ollie Pets Inc. is seeking a highly motivated and analytical Demand & Financial Planning Analyst to join our dynamic and growing finance team. This remote position, based in the U.S., offers a unique opportunity to significantly impact our company's strategic decision-making and financial health. Reporting directly to the Director of Revenue Management, you will be instrumental in shaping our financial forecasts, optimizing our supply chain, and driving profitable growth for a mission-driven company dedicated to improving the lives of pets and their parents nationwide.
  • • As a key contributor, you will be responsible for developing and refining demand forecasting models that accurately predict customer needs across our diverse product lines. This involves leveraging historical sales data, market trends, promotional impacts, and seasonality to create robust forecasts. You will collaborate closely with Sales, Marketing, Operations, and Product teams to gather insights and ensure alignment between forecasted demand and business objectives. Your ability to translate complex data into actionable insights will be crucial in guiding inventory management, production planning, and resource allocation.
  • • Beyond demand planning, this role encompasses comprehensive financial planning and analysis (FP&A). You will play a vital role in the annual budgeting process, quarterly forecasting, and long-range financial planning. This includes developing detailed financial models, performing variance analysis, and identifying key drivers of financial performance. You will be expected to present financial insights and recommendations to senior leadership, supporting strategic initiatives and investment decisions.
  • • A significant aspect of your role will involve analyzing key performance indicators (KPIs) related to revenue, cost of goods sold (COGS), gross margin, and operational efficiency. You will identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities for improvement, providing data-driven recommendations to enhance profitability and operational effectiveness. This includes developing dashboards and reports to track performance against targets and communicate key financial metrics across the organization.
  • • You will also be involved in scenario planning and sensitivity analysis to assess the financial impact of various business strategies, market changes, and potential risks. This proactive approach will enable the company to better prepare for future challenges and capitalize on emerging opportunities.
  • • Furthermore, this position requires a deep dive into financial modeling for new product launches, marketing campaigns, and strategic partnerships. You will assess the financial viability, potential ROI, and key risks associated with these initiatives, providing critical analysis to inform go/no-go decisions.
  • • The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of financial principles, accounting concepts, and statistical modeling techniques. You should be adept at using financial planning software and data visualization tools to effectively communicate complex financial information to both finance and non-finance stakeholders.
  • • This role is perfect for an individual who thrives in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment, enjoys tackling complex problems, and is eager to take ownership of projects. You will have the opportunity to contribute to a company culture that values collaboration, innovation, and a shared passion for pets. Your work will directly influence Ollie's ability to scale its operations, meet customer demand effectively, and achieve its ambitious financial goals, ultimately contributing to the well-being of countless pets across the country.
  • • You will be expected to continuously evaluate and improve existing forecasting and financial planning processes, seeking opportunities for automation and enhanced accuracy. This includes staying abreast of industry best practices and emerging technologies in demand planning and financial analytics.
  • • Collaboration is key in this role. You will work cross-functionally with teams such as Operations, Marketing, Sales, and Technology to ensure seamless integration of financial plans and demand forecasts into daily operations and strategic decision-making. This includes participating in regular business reviews and providing financial insights to support operational improvements.
  • • The ultimate goal of this role is to provide the financial intelligence and foresight necessary for Ollie Pets Inc. to make informed decisions, optimize resource allocation, and achieve sustainable, profitable growth, all while staying true to our mission of enhancing pet health and happiness.
