- • The Deployed Engineer role at LangChain is a hands-on, highly technical position focused on helping customers build, deploy, and operate production-ready AI agents using the LangChain suite, directly impacting how AI technology is adopted in real-world enterprise and startup environments.
- • Day to day, the Deployed Engineer will co-architect and co-build production AI agents with customer engineering teams, own technical wins in pre-sales by designing POCs and answering deep technical questions, advise post-sale on architecture and best practices, run technical demos and trainings, and surface field feedback to contribute reusable patterns and cookbooks that scale across customers.
- • LangChain is a fast-growing AI infrastructure company backed by $125M in Series B funding from top-tier investors, with its open-source tools and platform used by teams at companies like Replit, Coinbase, Workday, and 35% of the Fortune 500 to ship real AI products at scale.
- • In this role, you will gain deep experience in applied AI systems, customer-facing technical leadership, and production-grade LLM application development, while shaping LangChain’s product direction through real-world field insights and contributing to open-source tools used by millions of developers.
🎯 Requirements
- • 3+ years in a relevant technical role such as software engineering, customer engineering, solutions engineering, or founding/product engineering, ideally in a startup or scale-up environment
- • Strong Python, JavaScript, and systems fundamentals with experience designing agent-based or LLM-powered applications beyond simple API calls, including multi-step workflows, orchestration, and failure handling
- • Comfort working directly with customers during POCs, architecture reviews, and technical evaluations, with the ability to explain technical tradeoffs clearly and build trust with developer audiences
