- • As a DER Business Analyst at Ameresco, Inc., you will play a pivotal role in supporting the administrative, commercial, and coordination functions of the Distributed Energy Resource (DER) Analytics platform within the Asset Sustainability Group, enabling the company to deliver smart energy solutions that drive cost savings, resilience, and decarbonization for public sector, education, healthcare, and utility clients.
- • Your day-to-day responsibilities include collaborating with business development to track new opportunities, coordinating with technical teams to generate accurate quotes and documentation, managing billing processes with Finance and Operations, monitoring subscription renewals and upgrades, maintaining project trackers and shared repositories, leading stakeholder meetings on project status, procuring hardware and software via purchase requisitions, and developing process documentation and training materials to ensure consistent service delivery.

- • In this role, you will develop strong cross-functional collaboration skills, gain hands-on experience with enterprise systems like D365 and SmartSheets, deepen your understanding of energy project lifecycles and billing workflows, and build expertise in process documentation and stakeholder management—positioning you for growth in business analysis, project coordination, or energy technology operations within a mission-driven organization.
🎯 Requirements
- • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Project Management, or related field
- • 2+ years of experience in administrative management, preferably supporting technical or energy-related projects
- • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- • Proficiency with enterprise and departmental software systems such as D365 and SmartSheets, as well as strong MS Excel skills
- • Exceptional organizational skills with keen attention to detail and ability to handle multiple priorities simultaneously
- • Ability to work collaboratively across teams and build effective relationships with stakeholders at all levels
