Dourolabs XYZ Inc. is seeking an experienced Design Lead to join our dynamic, globally distributed team. You will be a pivotal partner to our Creative Lead, taking ownership of team operations, refining processes, and enhancing communication, all while directly contributing to the execution of our product and brand strategies.
- • As a Design Lead at Dourolabs XYZ Inc., you will be instrumental in leading and scaling our design function. This involves managing the day-to-day operations of the design team, ensuring seamless coordination and efficient workflow. You will be responsible for building and optimizing robust processes for managing inbound design requests, ensuring that projects are clearly defined, scoped, and prioritized. A key aspect of this role is translating complex business needs and navigating ambiguity into clear, actionable design priorities, ensuring the team is focused on the most impactful initiatives. You will also drive the strategic direction of the team, including its structure, resourcing strategy, and future hiring plans. This includes actively participating in the interview process and contributing to the overall growth and scaling of our design organization. Furthermore, you will manage our relationships with external partners, including agencies, contractors, and vendors, ensuring high-quality output and effective collaboration.
- • A significant part of your role will be representing the design team across the entire organization. This involves setting clear expectations, managing timelines, and skillfully navigating trade-offs when team bandwidth is constrained. You will be the primary point of contact for design-related matters, ensuring alignment and fostering strong working relationships with other departments. Your ability to communicate the value and impact of design will be crucial in this capacity.
- • Beyond leadership and operational responsibilities, you will also contribute hands-on to design execution. This means creating and refining high-quality design deliverables across product, marketing, and web platforms. You will be responsible for organizing and meticulously maintaining our Figma files, ensuring our shared libraries are up-to-date, and upholding the integrity of our system structures. A core focus will be on ensuring that all design work is accessible, scalable, and designed for effortless collaboration. Your strong aesthetic judgment will be vital in ensuring excellence across typography, color palettes, composition, and layout. You will be expected to contribute innovative ideas for visual assets and execute them to the highest standard, ensuring a cohesive and compelling visual identity across all touchpoints.

🎯 Requirements
- • Proven experience leading or managing designers in a growing organization, with a demonstrated ability to balance strategic oversight with hands-on creative execution.
- • Strong communication skills and confidence presenting design rationale and strategy to diverse stakeholders, including leadership, product, and engineering teams.
- • Experience creating clarity and structure in fast-moving, ambiguous environments, coupled with a structured, systems-oriented mindset.
- • A sharp eye for detail and a commitment to visual excellence across all design outputs.
- • 5+ years of experience in product, brand, or digital design, with a strong portfolio showcasing a range of high-quality work.
- • Advanced proficiency in Figma, including organizing libraries, maintaining system structures, systematizing assets, and enabling effective team collaboration.
