Full Job Description
📋 Description
- • As a Design System Engineer at PermitFlow Inc., you will serve as the technical steward of the company’s React component library, ensuring consistency, accessibility, and scalability across all product interfaces. This role is critical to enabling product engineers to build faster and more reliably by providing a robust, well-documented foundation of reusable UI components.
- • You will own the day-to-day development and evolution of the design system, building and maintaining components across the Atomic Design hierarchy (atoms, molecules, organisms, templates), enforcing standards via Storybook and Chromatic, reviewing PRs, and translating Figma designs into production-grade code with precision and fidelity.
- • You will partner closely with product designers and engineering squads through the Design Systems Guild, driving adoption, identifying gaps, aligning on patterns, and maintaining quality in a fast-moving codebase while reducing frontend complexity through consolidation and migration efforts.
- • In this role, you will shape the technical and collaborative standards of PermitFlow’s UI infrastructure, gaining deep expertise in design systems, frontend architecture, and cross-functional leadership — positioning you as a go-to authority on component quality, accessibility, and developer experience in a high-growth AI-driven construction tech company.
