Full Job Description
đź“‹ Description
- • Drive DeepL's headless distribution surfaces by owning the reach and adoption of the DeepL MCP server and CLI, ensuring seamless integration into developer workflows for agentic AI systems.
- • Partner with Engineering, Design, and Product teams to align MCP and CLI functionality with how developers build, ship, and integrate AI-powered tools and workflows.
- • Drive discoverability of DeepL’s MCP across major AI ecosystems including Claude, ChatGPT, Microsoft Copilot, and emerging agent marketplaces to establish DeepL as the default translation layer.
- • Increase CLI adoption through package registries (npm, pip, Homebrew), GitHub visibility, CI/CD integration examples, starter kits, and developer toolchain optimizations.
- • Collaborate with the Partners team to embed MCP and CLI capabilities into hyperscaler marketplaces and co-sell motions with cloud providers.
- • Monitor the agentic tooling and developer ecosystem to identify emerging distribution opportunities and feed ecosystem intelligence back to Product and Engineering teams.
- • Own the end-to-end headless activation funnel—from MCP install or CLI OAuth through first successful translation to first paid character usage—identifying and removing friction points with data-driven insights.
- • Shape the free-tier strategy and onboarding experience to optimize conversion rates and usage-led growth within the developer ecosystem.
- • Create high-value developer artifacts including prompt libraries, agent templates, implementation examples, and integration guides that position DeepL as the obvious choice for agentic builders.
- • Develop workflow documentation that demonstrates how DeepL’s glossary, style, and customization capabilities enhance agentic workflows beyond native LLM translation.
- • Build production-grade code samples and reference integrations that go beyond toy demos to show real-world, scalable usage of DeepL’s API in AI agent systems.
- • Create technical content that demonstrates practitioner-level usage—showing where developers verify output, when they trust it, and how they combine DeepL with agentic patterns to achieve results unattainable with native translation.
- • Publish content across GitHub, Discord, LinkedIn, developer newsletters, and other channels, structuring it for discoverability by both human developers and AI coding assistants.
- • Participate meaningfully in developer communities where agentic workflows are built, establishing DeepL as a credible and trusted voice.
- • Amplify developers already using DeepL through showcases, workflow breakdowns, and collaborative content to expand organic reach and credibility.
- • Build relationships with creator-developers and ecosystem influencers whose audiences align with DeepL’s target builder cohorts.
- • Strengthen DeepL’s presence and trust across the digital surfaces where developers discover, evaluate, and adopt new tools.
- • Gather signal from MCP communities, GitHub discussions, AI ecosystems, and direct developer feedback to identify emerging integration patterns and gaps in DeepL’s API.
- • Translate ecosystem insights into actionable product roadmap input, helping shape the future of DeepL’s API and agentic AI offerings from the outside in.
- • Report on the headless funnel as a leading indicator of ecosystem growth, adoption trends, and product-market fit for DeepL’s developer-facing products.
🎯 Requirements
- • Significant hands-on experience building with AI agents, copilots, developer tools, or related ecosystems
- • Experience creating technical content that developers actively use and trust
- • Strong understanding of developer workflows, APIs, integrations, and automation
- • Ability to work cross-functionally with Product, Engineering, Marketing, and Partnerships teams
- • Demonstrated ability to identify ecosystem trends and translate insights into action
- • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
🏖️ Benefits
- • Diverse and internationally distributed team with over 90 nationalities
- • Hybrid work schedule with several days in the office each week
- • Virtual Shares linking employee contribution to DeepL’s growth
- • Regular in-person team events
- • Monthly full-day hacking sessions (Hack Fridays)
- • 30 days of annual leave
