📋 Description

• Zencoder is at the forefront of revolutionizing how developers interact with artificial intelligence, building a universal AI platform designed to seamlessly integrate generative coding workflows into the tools and infrastructure developers use every day. We are seeking a passionate and technically adept Developer Relations Engineer to join our growing team and champion our innovative platform within the developer community.
• As a Developer Relations Engineer, you will be the crucial bridge between Zencoder and the vibrant world of software developers. Your primary mission will be to foster a thriving ecosystem around our platform, ensuring developers understand its power, can easily adopt it, and are inspired to build amazing things with it. This role is instrumental in driving adoption, gathering invaluable feedback, and ultimately shaping the future of generative coding.
• You will be responsible for creating and disseminating compelling technical content that showcases the capabilities and benefits of the Zencoder platform. This includes writing in-depth blog posts, creating engaging tutorials, developing sample code, and producing video demonstrations that highlight how developers can leverage our AI capabilities to enhance their coding workflows, improve productivity, and accelerate development cycles.
• A significant part of your role will involve actively engaging with the developer community across various channels. This means participating in online forums, responding to questions on platforms like Stack Overflow and GitHub, moderating community discussions, and representing Zencoder at developer conferences, meetups, and online events. Your goal is to build strong relationships, provide timely support, and cultivate a sense of belonging among Zencoder users.
• You will play a key role in gathering and synthesizing feedback from the developer community. By listening to their needs, challenges, and suggestions, you will provide critical insights to our product and engineering teams. This feedback loop is essential for us to iterate on our platform, prioritize new features, and ensure that Zencoder remains at the cutting edge of developer tooling.
• Evangelizing the Zencoder platform will be a core responsibility. You will articulate the unique value proposition of our universal AI platform, emphasizing its ability to connect any CLI to any IDE, starting with integrations like Claude Code, Codex, and Zen CLI. You will highlight our proprietary enterprise-grade features, such as multi-repo intelligence, and explain the flexibility of our deployment options, including on-premise, hybrid, or cloud, with secure air-gapped and zero-VPC solutions.
• You will also be instrumental in demonstrating the power of our modular 'Zen Agents.' This involves explaining how these agents codify team practices into shareable, autonomous workflows that can continuously code, test, and deploy, thereby transforming team collaboration and development efficiency.
• Developing and maintaining strong relationships with key influencers, open-source projects, and technology partners within the developer ecosystem will be a strategic objective. Collaborating with these entities can amplify our reach and foster broader adoption of the Zencoder platform.
• You will contribute to the development of our developer documentation, ensuring it is clear, comprehensive, and up-to-date. This includes creating API references, usage guides, and best practice recommendations to empower developers to succeed with Zencoder.
• The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of developer workflows, tooling, and the challenges faced by modern software engineering teams. You should be passionate about emerging technologies, particularly in the AI and generative coding space, and eager to share your knowledge and enthusiasm with others.

🎯 Requirements

• Proven experience in developer relations, developer advocacy, technical evangelism, or a similar community-focused technical role.
• Strong technical background with hands-on experience in software development, including familiarity with various programming languages, IDEs, and command-line interfaces (CLIs).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly and concisely to diverse audiences.
• Experience creating technical content such as blog posts, tutorials, documentation, and presentations.
• Demonstrated ability to engage with and build communities, both online and in-person.
