  • • As a Developer Success Engineer, you will be at the forefront of our customer engagement, working directly with a diverse range of developers, teams, and companies who are building innovative solutions with LiveKit. Your primary objective will be to ensure their seamless integration and ongoing success with our platform, fostering strong relationships and providing unparalleled technical guidance and support. This role demands a blend of deep technical understanding, excellent communication skills, and a genuine desire to mentor and uplift the developer community.
  • • Your day-to-day responsibilities will encompass a wide spectrum of technical and customer-facing activities. You will be instrumental in triaging, diagnosing, and resolving bugs, ensuring the stability and reliability of the LiveKit platform for our users. You will respond promptly and effectively to support tickets, providing clear, actionable solutions to technical challenges. A significant part of your role will involve crafting high-quality, production-ready code examples, sample applications, and robust SDK extensions to accelerate developer adoption and showcase best practices. Furthermore, you will play a crucial role in enhancing our knowledge base by updating existing documentation and authoring new technical guides, tutorials, and best practice articles that empower developers to leverage LiveKit to its fullest potential.
  • • Beyond reactive support, you will proactively engage with LiveKit customers through regular check-ins and follow-up meetings. These interactions are designed to understand their evolving needs, identify potential challenges before they arise, and ensure they are maximizing the value derived from our platform. Your insights from these customer engagements will be invaluable in shaping our product roadmap and service offerings.
  • • Collaboration is key to success in this role. You will work hand-in-hand with our Sales, Business Development, and Partnerships teams. You will provide critical technical expertise during customer conversations, assist in pre-sales technical evaluations, and contribute to strategic discussions about market opportunities and customer needs. Your ability to translate complex technical concepts into business value will be essential in supporting these cross-functional efforts.

By understanding the real-world challenges and successes of our users, you will provide direct feedback to our engineering and product teams, helping to prioritize features, identify areas for improvement, and drive innovation. While you may not be writing extensive new features daily, you will be comfortable reading, understanding, and debugging significant amounts of code. Your ability to communicate technical information clearly and concisely, both verbally and in writing, is paramount. You are also adaptable and eager to learn new programming languages and technologies quickly, with a knack for rapid prototyping to solve customer problems or demonstrate solutions.
