- • As a Developer Support Engineer at LiveKit, you will serve as the critical first point of contact for thousands of developers building real-time voice and AI applications on our platform, directly impacting their ability to innovate and ship products by providing fast, accurate, and empathetic technical assistance across multiple channels including tickets, Slack, email, and community forums.
- • Your role is essential to LiveKit’s mission of powering the voice-driven era of computing, where your technical troubleshooting, clear communication, and proactive issue identification help ensure seamless experiences for high-profile customers like OpenAI, Salesforce, and Spotify, while feeding vital insights back to engineering and product teams to improve the platform.
- • Day to day, you will triage and prioritize inbound developer inquiries, reproduce and validate technical issues by collecting logs, SDK versions, and environment details, and provide initial troubleshooting or workarounds to unblock customers quickly, ensuring minimal disruption to their development workflows.
- • You will escalate complex problems to internal Engineering, Developer Success, or Sales teams with precise summaries and contextual details, document recurring issues and solutions in internal and external knowledge bases, and collaborate to improve documentation, tooling, and product usability based on real-world developer feedback.
- • You will actively monitor support channels for emerging trends, contribute to reducing response and resolution times, and help refine support processes through automation, scripting, and best practices, all while maintaining a developer-centric mindset rooted in empathy and clarity.
- • Working closely with a small, senior team of engineers and developer advocates, you’ll gain deep exposure to cutting-edge real-time infrastructure, WebRTC, SIP, and AI agent platforms, while sharpening your technical communication, problem-solving, and cross-functional collaboration skills in a fast-paced, high-impact environment.
- • This role offers significant growth potential as you become a trusted advisor to developers worldwide, influence the evolution of LiveKit’s developer experience, and build expertise in real-time communications infrastructure at the forefront of voice AI innovation.
🎯 Requirements
- • 2–4 years of experience in developer support, technical support, or a customer-facing engineering role
- • Strong problem-solving skills with a methodical approach to debugging and issue reproduction
- • Familiarity with APIs, SDKs, and networking fundamentals including HTTP, WebRTC, WebSocket, and SIP
- • Clear written and verbal communication ability to explain technical concepts concisely and empathetically
- • Comfort using diagnostic tools such as Postman, curl, Wireshark, and browser developer tools
