• • Own the heartbeat of Hunt: Showdown 1896’s sub-teams as our new Development Manager, orchestrating the daily cadence that turns creative vision into polished, terrifying gameplay. You will translate the Senior Development Manager’s high-level delivery plans into executable sprint goals, ensuring every artist, designer, programmer, and QA specialist knows exactly what “done” looks like and when it must ship.
• • Drive relentless execution: break milestones into granular, trackable tasks, load-balance workloads, and keep Jira, Confluence, and ShotGrid dashboards honest. You’ll run daily stand-ups, weekly cross-discipline syncs, and monthly milestone reviews, always with one eye on the burn-down chart and the other on the player experience.
• • Be the early-warning radar for risk. Whether it’s a dependency slipping, a build-breaking bug, or a scope-creep monster lurking in the backlog, you’ll surface it fast, quantify impact, and present mitigation options before anyone else feels the pain.
• • Champion friction-free collaboration across Frankfurt, remote colleagues, and external partners. You’ll standardize hand-off templates, enforce clear definition-of-done criteria, and make sure the art pipeline talks fluently to the code pipeline—so the next grotesque boss creature arrives rigged, animated, optimized, and terrifying on schedule.
• • Guard quality without slowing momentum. Work hand-in-hand with QA to triage defects, schedule playtests, and ensure every patch meets Hunt’s uncompromising bar for performance and horror atmosphere. When the midnight oil burns, you’ll still insist on proper regression passes and crash-free builds.
• • Curate a culture of continuous improvement. After every release, you’ll facilitate honest retrospectives, harvest lessons learned, and roll actionable tweaks back into the workflow—turning each cycle into a faster, smarter, more predictable machine.
• • Communicate with surgical precision. From executive dashboards that fit on one slide to Slack threads that unblock a coder in minutes, your updates will be timely, data-driven, and jargon-free, keeping stakeholders confident and teams aligned.
• • Manage budgets and resources like a pro. Track actuals vs. forecasts, flag scope changes early, and negotiate timeline trade-offs so the game ships on budget without sacrificing the scares that make Hunt legendary.
