- • Maintain and optimize state-of-the-art production systems serving millions of users globally, ensuring high availability and performance.
- • Design, implement, and manage CI/CD infrastructure to automate software releases and streamline deployment pipelines across environments.
- • Build and sustain testing infrastructure across multiple stages, including staging, integration, and production-like environments.
- • Automate system administration tasks using shell scripting and Python in a Linux environment to improve operational efficiency.
- • Investigate, diagnose, and resolve scalability bottlenecks and production incidents with a focus on root cause analysis and prevention.
- • Develop foundational engineering infrastructure used company-wide, including tools for process tracking, monitoring, and deployment automation.
- • Collaborate with QA Engineers to enhance test automation frameworks and integrate them into the CI/CD pipeline.
- • Partner with backend and frontend engineers to understand system needs, provide infrastructure support, and guide the evolution of development tools.
- • Continuously evaluate and improve existing tooling and workflows to align with team goals and emerging best practices.
- • Document system configurations, automation scripts, and operational procedures to ensure knowledge sharing and team scalability.
- • Participate in peer mentoring and knowledge-sharing sessions to foster a culture of technical excellence and collective ownership.
- • Proactively identify opportunities to enhance system reliability, security, and performance through automation and infrastructure improvements.
- • Communicate technical designs, progress, and requirements clearly to cross-functional teams, including non-technical stakeholders.
- • Maintain a high standard of code quality and documentation, even in scripting and automation tasks, with clear comments and structured logic.
- • Stay current with cloud technologies and infrastructure trends to recommend and implement improvements in the tech stack.
🎯 Requirements
- • Strong computer science fundamentals based on a degree in computer science or distinctive work experience in software development
- • Experience with Kubernetes, AWS, or GCP in a cloud environment
- • Shell scripting prowess in a Linux environment
- • Development track record in at least one of the following languages: Python, JavaScript, TypeScript, Java, C and/or C++
- • Ability to develop foundational engineering infrastructure to be used across the entire company
- • A demonstrated ability to provide guidance, mentorship, and support
