📋 Description

• As a Director, Analyst specializing in Agentic AI in Enterprise Networking at Gartner, you will be at the forefront of defining the future of IT infrastructure. You will serve as a pivotal thought leader, crafting essential insights and providing expert advice to a diverse clientele of world-leading organizations. Your role is critical in identifying market gaps, anticipating challenges, and formulating innovative solutions that empower clients to make superior decisions aligned with their most significant business priorities.
• You will be instrumental in translating Gartner's best practices and proprietary tools into tangible value for a broad spectrum of high-caliber clients. Your focus will encompass both the immediate, pragmatic content needed to address current operational problems and the forward-thinking, provocative insights that challenge conventional assumptions and shape future strategies.
• A core aspect of your coverage will be agentic AI networking technologies. This includes understanding and analyzing how these technologies enable infrastructure and IT operations groups to achieve unprecedented levels of automation, drive innovation, and establish a robust foundation for sustained success and growth. A deep intellectual curiosity and demonstrable knowledge in areas such as agentic AI, advanced network operations, and sophisticated network automation are paramount.
• You will leverage your extensive knowledge of technologies, vendors, processes, and industry best practices to deliver actionable intelligence and strategic guidance to our clients, helping them navigate the complexities of modern enterprise networking.
• Your responsibilities will include conducting in-depth research, rigorous analysis, and accurate prediction of both expected and unexpected market trends and shifts. This will enable you to provide end-user organizations and technology vendors with critical, actionable insights that inform their strategic planning and competitive positioning.
• Maintaining a position at the cutting edge of developments within your specified domain, as well as relevant adjacent areas of emerging technologies, is essential. You will continuously monitor the landscape to identify new opportunities and potential disruptions.
• You will collaborate with fellow analysts and research teams to author and publish high-quality analysis and strategic positions on a regular cadence, ensuring all content is grounded in robust, evidence-based research.
• A key part of your role involves communicating complex technical and strategic concepts with clarity, conciseness, and authority. This will be achieved through various channels, including virtual interactions and face-to-face engagements with senior-level executives from client organizations.
• You will represent Gartner as an industry expert by presenting at multiple conferences, sharing your research, insights, and predictions with a wider professional audience.
• Furthermore, you will actively partner with Gartner's sales and service delivery teams. Your expertise will be crucial in driving account growth, enhancing client retention, and deepening client engagement by ensuring clients derive maximum value from Gartner's services.
• This role demands a proactive approach to understanding the evolving needs of enterprise IT leaders and a commitment to delivering research that directly impacts their ability to innovate and operate efficiently in an increasingly AI-driven world.

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience; graduate degree preferred.
• 12+ years of experience in enterprise networking, AI-driven network operations, or related IT domains, including hands-on exposure to integrating AI and automation within large-scale enterprise network environments.
• Expertise in agentic AI models and AI-enabled network architectures, including autonomous remediation, intent-based networking, policy orchestration, and AI-driven network optimization.
• Deep knowledge of enterprise networking technologies, including WAN connectivity, network architecture/design, network security principles, and familiarity with data center networking and cloud edge architectures.
• Ability to analyze and articulate technology and business adoption scenarios, helping senior IT leaders understand opportunities, risks, and implementation paths for emerging AI-centric networking technologies.
