  • As a Director Analyst specializing in Infrastructure Cybersecurity at Gartner, you will be at the forefront of industry thought leadership, crafting essential insights and providing expert advice to a global clientele of leading organizations.
  • Your role will involve a keen ability to identify market gaps, anticipate emerging problems, and develop innovative solutions within the dynamic cybersecurity landscape, empowering clients to make strategic decisions that align with their most critical business priorities.
  • You will be instrumental in bringing Gartner's best practices, methodologies, and proprietary tools to life, translating complex concepts into actionable guidance for a diverse range of world-class clients.
  • The core of your focus will be twofold: delivering pragmatic content that directly addresses clients' immediate challenges and providing provocative insights that challenge conventional assumptions and shape their understanding of future market trajectories.
  • Your expertise will be centered on infrastructure cybersecurity technologies, enabling IT operations and infrastructure groups to effectively mitigate cyber risks and establish a robust foundation for sustained success and growth.
  • A deep understanding and intellectual curiosity regarding key areas such as Secure Access Service Edge (SASE), Security Service Edge (SSE), Zero Trust architectures, cloud security, endpoint security, and patch management are paramount to your success in this role.
  • You will leverage your extensive knowledge of technologies, vendors, established processes, and industry best practices to deliver insightful and actionable recommendations to Gartner's clients.
  • A significant responsibility will be to research, analyze, and predict market trends and shifts within infrastructure cybersecurity, anticipating both expected developments and unforeseen challenges to provide clients with foresight.
  • You will be expected to stay continuously ahead of the curve, monitoring developments and critical issues within your specialized domain, as well as in adjacent and emerging technology areas.
  • A key aspect of the role involves collaborative content creation, where you will regularly write and publish well-researched analysis and strategic positions, contributing to Gartner's extensive knowledge base.
  • You will hone your ability to communicate complex technical and business concepts with clarity, conciseness, and authority, engaging effectively with senior-level executives through virtual and in-person interactions.
  • This position offers the opportunity to present your expertise at multiple industry conferences, solidifying your reputation as a recognized authority and thought leader in infrastructure cybersecurity.
  • You will actively partner with Gartner's sales and service delivery teams, contributing to account growth, client retention, and overall engagement by providing valuable subject matter expertise.
  • Your work will directly influence how enterprises approach and manage their infrastructure security, impacting their ability to innovate, operate securely, and achieve their strategic objectives in an increasingly complex threat landscape.
  • This role demands a proactive approach to understanding the evolving threat landscape, including emerging cyber threats to IT infrastructure such as post-quantum attacks, AI-powered cyber attacks, and multi-layer extortion ransomware attacks.
  • You will be expected to analyze, formulate, and clearly articulate technology and business adoption scenarios, guiding senior IT leaders through the opportunities, risks, and implementation pathways associated with both current and future infrastructure cybersecurity technologies.
  • A strong grasp of modern infrastructure security models, including SASE, SSE, Zero Trust, and identity-centric security frameworks, coupled with expertise in designing and optimizing secure enterprise networks, is crucial.
  • You will also need a key understanding of best practices in cloud security, endpoint security, patch management, backup and recovery, and disaster recovery.
  • Familiarity with major cybersecurity infrastructure and services offerings, including those from U.S. and international service providers, managed security services, and emerging vendors, will be essential.
  • A broad understanding of the drivers behind enterprise connectivity and security, such as cloud adoption, distributed workforces, application modernization, and the increasing reliance on integrated security-networking architectures, is required.
  • You will also need to consider geopolitical and sovereign workload requirements in different regions as they relate to infrastructure security and compliance.
  • The role requires a deep familiarity with industry cybersecurity frameworks like NIST CSF 2.0, ISO/IEC 27001, ISO 42001, and NIST AI RMF.
  • Ultimately, you will be a trusted advisor, helping clients navigate the complexities of infrastructure cybersecurity to build resilient, secure, and future-ready IT environments.
