- • As a Director Analyst in Research & Development and Digital & AI at Gartner, you will serve as a trusted thought leader shaping strategic insights for global R&D leaders in manufacturing-intensive industries, directly influencing how organizations innovate, invest, and transform through AI and digital technologies.
- • Your day-to-day responsibilities will include creating innovative, thought-provoking insights content; conducting deep analysis to identify root causes of client barriers; developing actionable strategies for R&D portfolio management, AI adoption, and digital tool selection; delivering high-impact presentations at Gartner events and client briefings; providing sales support as the voice of the market; mentoring junior analysts; and actively contributing to research process improvements and innovation discussions within the BTI team.
- • You will join Gartner’s Business and Technology Insights (BTI) group, a global team of 21,000 associates supporting ~14,000 client enterprises across ~90 countries, where intellectual curiosity, rigor, and impact are paramount, and where you’ll collaborate with diverse experts to deliver objective, actionable insights that drive enterprise success.
- • In this role, you will deepen your expertise as an industry-recognized authority in R&D strategy, AI integration, and technology market trends; build executive credibility through client engagements and thought leadership; refine your ability to translate complex data into clear, compelling narratives; and grow your influence by shaping research agendas that help clients navigate disruption and seize strategic opportunities.
🎯 Requirements
- • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience; graduate degree preferred
- • 10+ years of relevant field or industry experience, including direct experience leading R&D teams in manufacturing-intensive industries such as industrial manufacturing, aerospace & defense, or automotive
- • Demonstrated knowledge and interest in R&D portfolio strategy and management, AI and digital transformation in R&D, and tech market coverage for R&D digital tools and systems
- • Strong executive presence, written and verbal communication skills, analytical and presentation abilities, and the capacity to synthesize data, defend conclusions, and explain complex concepts clearly to senior stakeholders
- • Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively in a multicultural, matrixed global team, with learning agility, strong organizational skills, and a commitment to mentoring junior team members
- • Willingness and ability to travel up to 25% as needed
