📋 Description

• Tonal is seeking a visionary and results-oriented Director of Business Systems to spearhead the strategic design, development, and continuous evolution of our comprehensive enterprise business systems landscape. This pivotal role is entrusted with the ownership of our core business applications, the overarching enterprise architecture, intricate systems integrations, and the development of custom applications that are fundamental to powering our complex revenue, finance, and operations workflows across the entire organization. This position is not merely about managing systems; it's about architecting the technological backbone that enables Tonal's ambitious growth and operational excellence, ensuring that our systems are not only functional but also scalable, secure, and resilient.
• In this dynamic role, you will be instrumental in defining and refining the enterprise architecture that underpins our critical business functions. This includes deep engagement with key platforms such as NetSuite (ERP), Salesforce (CRM), and MuleSoft (middleware), as well as overseeing the development and integration of custom applications. A significant part of your day-to-day will involve leading the Business Applications function, which encompasses strategic roadmap planning for our enterprise systems, managing the intake process for cross-functional projects, meticulously defining requirements, and ensuring the successful delivery of these projects. You will also be responsible for the design and implementation of scalable, secure, and robust integrations and custom solutions that are essential for supporting our complex revenue recognition processes, intricate financial operations, day-to-day operational activities, and sophisticated logistics workflows.
• Furthermore, you will play a crucial role in establishing and enforcing critical integration standards, championing development best practices that include API design principles, CI/CD pipelines, rigorous testing methodologies, and effective monitoring strategies, alongside implementing robust architectural governance frameworks. A key responsibility will be to build, lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team comprised of talented business analysts, experienced business system managers, skilled integration engineers, and dedicated system administrators. Your leadership will be vital in scaling our integration capabilities, enterprise systems, and overall business applications to seamlessly align with and support the company's rapid growth trajectory. This includes effectively managing offshore contractor resources and third-party vendors to guarantee optimal quality, maintain sufficient capacity, and ensure cost efficiency, all while upholding Tonal's high standards.
• You will also be tasked with overseeing the administration of our critical enterprise systems, which involves stringent access governance, proactive environment management, and ensuring the utmost production stability. A core aspect of this role is to forge strong partnerships with business leaders across the organization. This collaboration will involve translating their strategic priorities into actionable, scalable technology roadmaps and detailed implementation plans. Ensuring the production reliability of our systems will be paramount, achieved through diligent monitoring, effective incident management processes, and a structured approach to root cause resolution, minimizing downtime and maximizing operational efficiency. 🎯 Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in enterprise systems, architecture, and integration leadership roles.
• 5+ years of experience managing high-performing technical and business systems teams.
• Deep expertise with NetSuite (ERP architecture & integrations), Salesforce (CRM architecture & integrations), MuleSoft or a comparable enterprise middleware platform, and custom application development environments.
• Proven experience leading business applications or enterprise systems teams, including project intake, requirements gathering, and roadmap management.
• Strong understanding of API design, data architecture, event-driven systems, and integration best practices.
• Experience supporting complex financial and operational workflows.
• Demonstrated success in managing offshore engineering teams and third-party vendors.
• Experience overseeing enterprise system administrators.
• Strong executive communication and cross-functional leadership skills.
• Proven ability to scale systems in high-growth environments.
