📋 Description
- • As Director of Clinical Strategy at Stepful, you will serve as the clinical voice for the go-to-market organization, engaging directly with top CNOs and nursing leaders to build credibility, challenge assumptions, and validate program designs in high-stakes healthcare conversations.
- • Day to day, you will spend 60–70% of your time in the field joining sales conversations as a peer-level clinical expert, reframing objections, building trusted relationships with clinical champions, and co-owning clinical validation during the sales process; 20–30% internally coaching sales on clinical fluency, reviewing marketing and product claims, and advising on program roadmap; and 10–20% strategically advising GTM strategy, representing Stepful at nursing conferences, and cultivating a network of clinical advisors.
- • Stepful is a Y Combinator-backed EdTech company reimagining allied healthcare training through affordable, online, instructor-led, and AI-supported programs that launch high-demand healthcare careers for learners regardless of background, partnering with major health systems like CVS, NY-Presbyterian, HCA, Providence, and Walgreens to address national healthcare worker shortages.
- • In this role, you will deepen your impact as a trusted clinical advisor in the health tech space, shape how nursing leadership perceives and adopts healthcare education innovations, and build a national reputation as a bridge between clinical operations and commercial strategy—directly influencing Stepful’s credibility, partnership velocity, and market positioning in nursing leadership circles.
🎯 Requirements
- • 10+ years of clinical nursing experience with at least 5 years in a senior nursing leadership role (Director of Nursing, VP Patient Care, CNO, or equivalent) at a recognized health system
- • Demonstrated ability to operate in a commercial environment, including experience working with vendors, leading evaluations, or making significant technology or operational purchasing decisions
- • Comfort with ambiguity and a commercial mindset, with the willingness to challenge the status quo in healthcare education and push back on buyers or internal teams when clinical logic does not hold
- • Excellent communicator in both small group settings and in front of large audiences
- • At least a Master of Science in Nursing (MSN)
