- • As Director of Cloud Engineering - OS & Data Management at FICO, you will lead the Infrastructure & Data function within a fast-paced cloud environment, driving strategic vision while ensuring operational excellence and stakeholder satisfaction across internal and external teams.
- • You will balance long-term architectural innovation with day-to-day maintenance and automation of existing systems, leveraging AI and emerging technologies to improve scalability, reliability, and efficiency.
- • Your leadership will directly impact FICO’s ability to deliver secure, high-performance analytics solutions to global clients in banking, insurance, healthcare, and more, supporting mission-critical decisions powered by data and AI.
- • Collaborate with service management to prioritize and manage project backlogs, aligning short-term deliverables with long-term cloud strategy and business objectives.
- • Partner with architects to design, implement, and onboard future-state tooling, processes, and systems that meet stakeholder needs and support scalable, cloud-native architectures.
- • Maintain and enhance existing infrastructure tooling, automation, and processes to improve reliability and performance while ensuring alignment with evolving technical vision.
- • Integrate new solutions into CI/CD pipelines and business workflows in a scalable, supportable manner, working closely with DevOps, SRE, and application teams.
- • Develop and enforce technical standards, policies, and self-service capabilities to promote consistency, reduce toil, and enable team autonomy.
- • Mentor and coach engineers on cloud best practices, OS-level management, automation, and emerging technologies, fostering a culture of continuous learning and technical excellence.
- • Monitor and evaluate emerging technologies in cloud infrastructure, OS management, and AI-driven operations, recommending adoption where beneficial to training and system capabilities.
- • Lead incident response escalations, utilizing monitoring, logging, and tracing tools to accelerate root cause analysis and drive preventive improvements.
- • Ensure all infrastructure solutions comply with industry security standards, data privacy regulations, and access control requirements to protect sensitive data and maintain trust.
🎯 Requirements
- • Expert knowledge and hands-on experience in managing OS-level operations within cloud environments, spanning both engineering and operational domains.
- • Proven leadership in delivering complex, cross-functional cloud infrastructure projects on time, within scope, and with measurable business impact.
- • Deep expertise in containerization (Docker), orchestration (Kubernetes), and microservices architecture design and implementation.
- • Strong familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools including Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, or Ansible for provisioning and managing cloud resources.
- • Solid understanding of logging, monitoring, and distributed tracing at the infrastructure layer in large-scale, dynamic systems.
- • Experience working with real-time analytics platforms and processing streaming data at scale in production environments.
- • Demonstrated ability to integrate AI technologies into infrastructure workflows to enhance automation, predictive maintenance, and operational efficiency.
- • Experience designing and implementing autonomous scaling systems that dynamically adjust resources based on demand and workload patterns.
- • Advanced experience operating in major cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP), with preferred certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect.
- • Comprehensive understanding of cloud security principles, including data encryption, identity and access management (IAM), and network segmentation.
