📋 Description
- • Lead the global build-out of a unified Corporate Safety and Security function across DoorDash, Deliveroo, and Wolt brands, spanning 40+ countries and dozens of corporate offices.
- • Own the strategy, operating model, and execution of five core pillars: physical security infrastructure and operations; emergency preparedness and response; threat assessment and workplace violence prevention; safety, compliance, and risk management; and security awareness, training, and culture.
- • Design and implement a global access control program featuring layered identity controls, mobile-first and biometric credentialing, automated provisioning/deprovisioning tied to employment status, and consistent access experiences across all corporate facilities.
- • Establish and certify Emergency Response Teams at every corporate location, publish and maintain facility-specific Emergency Response Plans, define severity levels and escalation protocols, and build relationships with local law enforcement and first responders globally.
- • Build a structured threat assessment and workplace violence prevention program including threat intake, behavioral assessment, case management, and jurisdiction-aware policies that span all brands and legal regions.
- • Partner with HR, Legal, and business leaders to ensure programs are locally calibrated, culturally aware, and compliant across diverse regulatory environments.
- • Develop and execute a global safety and security training program ensuring all employees understand emergency procedures and how to contact the Global Operations Center; drive First Aid, CPR, AED, and Stop the Bleed certifications across a significant portion of the corporate workforce.
- • Define risk management standards and security protocols for all corporate events globally, including security planning, staffing requirements, and incident response procedures across brands and regions.
- • Establish cradle-to-grave standardized safety and security integrations across all corporate offices, ensuring regulatory compliance with occupational health and safety and physical security requirements in every jurisdiction.
- • Maintain and regularly review all security policies with clear accountability for high-value and sensitive assets, ensuring audit readiness and operational consistency.
- • Manage a multi-million dollar annual budget with strict variance discipline, accurate accruals, competitive vendor procurement, and enforceable performance standards for physical security vendors and contract staffing.
- • Build, develop, and lead high-performing international teams across regions, setting clear priorities, functional OKRs, and a culture of operational excellence.
- • Conduct regular risk assessments and audits of all corporate facilities on a defined cadence to ensure continuous improvement and compliance.
- • Serve as the trusted cross-functional partner to Real Estate, Facilities, Workforce Strategy, IT, HR, and Legal, embedding physical security into operational workflows without creating friction.
- • Utilize AI tools meaningfully to enhance physical security operations — including automation, detection, analytics, workflow acceleration, and decision support — with a clear understanding of their application and evolution in the field.
- • Maintain executive presence to represent the function credibly at senior leadership levels, communicate clearly without unnecessary complexity, and build alignment across global stakeholders.
- • Travel internationally at an elevated tempo during the initial build phase, with a requirement to be based in and work daily from the London HQ office.
