- • Lead the Engineering Team for the Elements team at FundraiseUp, driving the development of embedded widgets that enable nonprofits to collect donations and display impact statistics on their websites.
- • Manage a team of 3-5 fullstack developers, balancing hands-on coding (approximately 70%) with leadership responsibilities including technical decision-making, code reviews, and mentorship.
- • Own end-to-end delivery of features, ensuring adherence to deadlines, company engineering guidelines, and technical debt management while aligning with neighboring teams and product roadmap.
- • Foster a culture of mentorship and growth through regular 1:1s, performance reviews, onboarding new members, and coaching engineers in a distributed, collaborative environment spanning Cyprus, Spain, Poland, Portugal, Georgia, Armenia, Serbia, and Turkey.
- • Contribute to a mission-driven product used by global nonprofits like UNICEF and the Alzheimer’s Association, where innovation in load times, conversion rates, and accessibility directly impacts millions of dollars in donations monthly.
🎯 Requirements
- • 10+ years of software development experience with at least 2 years as a Team Lead or Engineering Manager managing a team of 3–5 developers.
- • Hands-on fullstack expertise with minimum 3 years of fullstack development and 5 years of experience in product companies using TypeScript, Node.js, MongoDB, Kafka, and Redis.
- • Strong people management skills including hiring, coaching, giving feedback, conflict resolution, and conducting performance reviews.
- • Fluency in English at B2+ level to confidently discuss technical topics and collaborate across an international, Russian-speaking team.
- • Experience in fast-growing companies or startups is a plus.
