Full Job Description
đź“‹ Description
- • Lead the overhaul of Jerry.ai’s customer communications by transforming transactional, functional messaging across CRM, email, SMS, and in-app copy into empathetic, relationship-driven content that builds trust and emotional connection.
- • Define and establish Jerry’s brand voice and tone from the ground up in close partnership with the CEO, creating a cohesive personality for all organic customer touchpoints without inheriting an existing playbook.
- • Craft copy for high-impact lifecycle campaigns that convert through emotional resonance, addressing stressful, dry topics like insurance, repairs, loans, and maintenance in accessible, human, and engaging language.
- • Collaborate daily with Product, Design, Growth, and Customer Insights teams to align messaging with user pain points, behavioral data, and product features to drive long-term engagement and retention.
- • Own the creation and optimization of organic growth content, including push notifications, social media posts, and community interactions (e.g., Reddit threads), ensuring every word reinforces brand trust and loyalty.
- • Champion the unmeasurable value of brand experience to data-driven teams, advocating for messaging that prioritizes emotional impact over short-term metrics while still delivering measurable growth outcomes.
- • Identify opportunities to expand brand affinity beyond lifecycle communications by developing creative organic content that positions Jerry as a caring, reliable companion in car ownership—not just a transactional tool.
- • Serve as the primary voice of Jerry.ai across all customer-facing channels, ensuring consistency and authenticity in how the brand speaks to its 5M+ users.
- • Conduct qualitative and quantitative research to understand the psychological and emotional barriers customers face around car ownership, and translate those insights into compelling, empathetic narratives.
- • Maintain a relentless focus on precision in language—every punctuation mark, word choice, and sentence structure must be intentional, clear, and emotionally resonant.
- • Build a scalable framework for copy creation that can be adopted by future teams while maintaining the integrity of the brand voice.
- • Anticipate and adapt to evolving customer needs and cultural shifts in how people perceive car ownership, ensuring Jerry’s messaging remains relevant, compassionate, and forward-thinking.
- • Balance creative ambition with operational discipline, delivering high-quality copy under tight deadlines without compromising depth, empathy, or brand standards.
🎯 Requirements
- • 7+ years of experience in creative marketing with a focus on organic growth and copywriting
- • Proven track record managing organic channels including email, SMS, and social media
- • Experience working with consumer brands in complex, low-engagement categories (e.g., insurance, finance, healthcare)
- • Portfolio showcasing persuasive, empathetic writing for dry or stressful topics
- • Bachelor's Degree
- • Comfort working in fast-paced startup environments with data-first teams while advocating for brand-driven outcomes
🏖️ Benefits

- • Paid time off
- • Paid parental leave
- • 401(k) plan with employer matching
