  • • As Director of Detection & Response at Unisys Corporation, you will lead the Global Security Operations team responsible for threat detection, incident response, and security operations across the enterprise, playing a critical role in protecting organizational assets and ensuring resilience against cyber threats.
  • • You will structure the team using a function/service/capability model, define RACI and key metrics, increase talent density through development and mentorship, operationalize the Security Incident Response Plan, integrate it with crisis management, implement a Detection Response Platform with health metrics, expand Investigation and IR coverage to 24x7, rebuild advanced threat hunting capabilities, and lead the FSO function managing federal clearance processes and personnel.
  • • You will join Unisys’ Detection & Response team, which operates as a peer to Attack Surface Management, Identity & Access Security, and Intel & Offensive Security within Global Security Operations, delivering 24x7 SOC services, incident investigation, threat hunting, insider threat programs, and federal security clearance management.
  • • In this role, you will develop strategic leadership expertise in aligning cybersecurity with business risk, drive innovation in detection engineering and automation, enhance cross-functional collaboration with legal, compliance, and law enforcement, and mature the organization’s incident response maturity while developing a high-performing, resilient security team.

🎯 Requirements

  • • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field (Master’s degree preferred)
  • • 15+ years of experience with 8+ years in a leadership role within cybersecurity, focused on threat detection, response, and management
  • • Deep technical expertise in cybersecurity tools, threat intelligence, forensic analysis, and platforms such as Google SecOps, Cribl, Splunk, SOC Prime, UEBA, SIEM, and EDR
  • • Strong understanding of regulatory requirements (GDPR, PCI DSS) and frameworks (NIST CSF, ISO 27001)
  • • Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills with ability to influence stakeholders from engineers to senior executives
  • • Experience managing complex cybersecurity incidents and leading cross-functional response teams in fast-paced environments
  • • US Citizen willing to undergo or already possessing a security clearance
