📋 Description

• The Director of Accounting is a critical leadership role responsible for ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and efficiency of Rescale’s financial operations, providing strategic insights to drive business growth in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment.
• Day-to-day responsibilities include overseeing general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, month-end and year-end close processes, preparing financial statements, managing revenue recognition under ASC 606, leading audit and tax preparation, and driving process improvements and automation initiatives.
• You will lead and develop a high-performing accounting team within Rescale’s finance department, fostering collaboration, mentoring staff, and preparing them for future growth while ensuring compliance with GAAP, SOX, and regulatory standards.
• This role offers the opportunity to deepen expertise in technical accounting, revenue recognition, and financial systems optimization while contributing to Rescale’s mission of advancing engineering and scientific discovery through digital innovation in aerospace, energy, life sciences, and manufacturing.

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field; CPA preferred
• 10+ years of progressive accounting experience, including leadership experience
• Strong technical accounting knowledge with GAAP expertise and in-depth understanding of ASC 606 revenue recognition
• Required experience with NetSuite
• Proven ability to lead, inspire, and develop a high-performing team
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for cross-functional collaboration
