- • As Director of Cloud Native Applications at Caylent, you will lead the App Dev, AI, and ML practice, driving technical excellence and strategic growth in AWS-focused software delivery while championing AI-enabled innovation for clients and internal teams.
- • You will define and execute the strategic vision for application development, AI, and ML practices; establish industry-leading methodologies; oversee delivery of complex cloud-native and AI-enabled solutions; and strengthen partnerships with AWS and technology leaders like Anthropic.
- • You will lead and mentor a team of 50+ software engineers, architects, AI, and consulting professionals, fostering a culture of innovation, continuous learning, and practical AI adoption across global remote teams in Canada, the U.S., and Latin America.
- • You will drive business growth by supporting pre-sales, shaping go-to-market strategies, representing Caylent at industry events, and ensuring high-quality, customer-centric delivery that scales engineering capabilities and enhances client outcomes through responsible AI integration.
🎯 Requirements
- • 8+ years of experience in cloud engineering and software development, with at least 5 years in a leadership role
- • Proven experience leading and scaling an engineering practice or department, ideally within an AWS-focused services company
- • Deep expertise in AWS services, architectures, and best practices, along with strong background in DevOps, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), and automation
- • Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills, with experience working with enterprise clients and cross-practice teams
- • Experience building, delivering, and using AI products and solutions, with a forward-looking perspective on AI-enabled software delivery
