  • • Define and execute the engineering strategy for hardware and embedded systems, ensuring alignment with business objectives and market demands.
  • • Oversee end-to-end product development for commercial hardware products, from concept through launch, including design, prototyping, testing, and manufacturing handoff.
  • • Lead large, distributed engineering teams comprising senior hardware and embedded software engineers, providing technical direction and mentorship with minimal oversight required.
  • • Manage relationships with ODMs and contract manufacturers, including SOW negotiation, acceptance testing, vendor accountability, and production scalability.
  • • Partner cross-functionally with Product Management, Operations, and Quality teams to deliver innovative, market-leading solutions in POS, drive-thru, and consumer electronics domains.
  • • Drive technical excellence by establishing and enforcing system architecture standards, hardware design practices, and embedded software integration protocols.
  • • Ensure compliance with industry regulations and certifications including FCC, CE, and other relevant product standards.
  • • Manage budgets, resources, and timelines for complex, multi-phase engineering programs with global supply chain and manufacturing considerations.
  • • Implement and improve Agile methodologies and modern development practices across hardware and embedded software teams.
  • • Lead NPI (New Product Introduction) processes and oversee manufacturing transfer through full production handoff.
  • • Apply deep understanding of manufacturing processes, supply chain logistics, and quality assurance to optimize product reliability and scalability.
  • • Leverage expertise in IoT ecosystems, connectivity protocols, and firmware development to enhance product functionality and integration.
  • • Prioritize audio and drive-thru system experience in product development initiatives where applicable.
  • • Build and mentor a high-performing engineering organization across multiple technical disciplines, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
  • • Analyze and solve complex technical problems with a focus on system reliability, performance, and long-term maintainability.
  • • Communicate effectively with senior stakeholders, executives, and cross-functional leaders to align engineering outcomes with corporate goals.

  • • Proven leadership experience managing both hardware and embedded device software projects.
