  • **The Opportunity:**
  • We are seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Director of Field Sales to lead and inspire our team of dedicated field sales professionals across the United States. This pivotal role is responsible for driving revenue growth, expanding market share, and ensuring the successful adoption of Edmentum's comprehensive suite of learning solutions within K-12 school districts and educational institutions. You will be instrumental in translating our overarching sales strategy into actionable plans, fostering a high-performance sales culture, and building strong, lasting relationships with key educational leaders.
  • **Key Responsibilities:**
  • **Team Leadership and Development:** Lead, mentor, and coach a geographically dispersed team of field-based sales representatives, fostering a culture of high performance, accountability, and continuous improvement. Provide regular feedback, performance evaluations, and professional development opportunities to empower your team to achieve and exceed their sales targets.
  • **Strategic Execution:** Translate Edmentum's regional and national sales strategies into clear, measurable priorities and disciplined execution plans for your team. Ensure alignment with company objectives and market dynamics.
  • **Sales Performance Management:** Drive consistent and predictable sales results through rigorous forecasting, robust pipeline management, and the diligent use of our CRM system. Implement best practices for opportunity qualification, deal progression, and closing strategies.
  • **Stakeholder Engagement:** Actively engage with district administrators, curriculum directors, technology leaders, and executive stakeholders to understand their unique challenges and effectively position Edmentum's solutions. Cultivate strong relationships to advance high-impact sales opportunities and secure long-term partnerships.
  • **Cross-Functional Collaboration:** Partner closely with internal teams, including Marketing, Product Development, Customer Success, and Implementation, to ensure seamless territory execution, effective customer onboarding, and exceptional post-sale support. Champion the voice of the customer internally.
  • **Market Penetration and Growth:** Develop and implement strategic initiatives to penetrate new markets, expand our footprint within existing accounts, and identify emerging opportunities for growth. Analyze market trends and competitive landscapes to inform sales strategies.
  • **Operational Excellence:** Ensure the team adheres to all sales processes, policies, and reporting requirements. Drive efficiency and effectiveness in all sales operations, leveraging data and analytics to identify areas for improvement.

🎯 Requirements

  • Proven track record of success in leading and managing field-based sales teams, preferably within the K-12 education technology sector.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and execute strategic sales plans, drive revenue growth, and achieve ambitious sales targets.
  • Strong understanding of consultative selling methodologies and experience managing complex sales cycles with multiple stakeholders.
  • Excellent leadership, coaching, and team-building skills, with a focus on developing talent and fostering accountability.
  • Proficient in CRM software (e.g., Salesforce) and experienced in sales forecasting, pipeline management, and data analysis.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Education, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

  • Competitive base salary ($115,000 - $125,000 USD) plus commission/bonus structure.
