- • This position is ideal for an ambitious legal professional, whether early in their career with a Juris Doctor or a seasoned paralegal seeking greater responsibility and strategic involvement.
- • You will be instrumental in translating high-level business strategy into actionable legal and operational structures, ensuring the smooth and compliant functioning of our dynamic enterprises.
- • Your core responsibilities will encompass the comprehensive review, drafting, and refinement of a wide array of contracts, including but not limited to vendor agreements, employment contracts, medical service agreements, real estate leases, insurance policies, and strategic partnership documents.
- • A key aspect of this role is your ability to distill complex legal issues into clear, concise summaries, empowering leadership to make informed and timely decisions.
- • You will be tasked with building and maintaining robust systems for tracking all agreements, managing renewals proactively, organizing litigation support materials, and monitoring overall risk exposure.
- • Serve as the critical internal liaison, bridging the gap between our business operations teams and external legal counsel, ensuring seamless communication and efficient workflow.
- • You will be the architect of our 'Contract Engine,' demonstrating precision and speed in drafting and redlining agreements to align with business objectives and legal requirements.
- • Assemble and manage essential business documentation that underpins successful negotiations and ensures ongoing compliance with all relevant regulations.
- • Develop and implement standardized contract templates to streamline processes, reduce operational friction, and enhance consistency across all legal agreements.
- • Maintain meticulous control over contract repositories, ensuring accurate version control and easy accessibility of critical documents.
- • Think and act as a strategic business operator, going beyond mere legal technicalities to understand the broader business implications.
- • Conduct targeted research on pertinent areas such as employment law, regulatory compliance, and general business law, extracting the most relevant rules and guidelines, not just verbatim statutes.
- • Proactively interface with a diverse range of external parties, including vendors, insurance carriers, consultants, and specialized outside counsel, to gather necessary factual information and facilitate efficient resolution of legal matters.
- • Provide crucial support for litigation and insurance claims by meticulously organizing facts, establishing clear timelines, and compiling comprehensive documentation to enable outside counsel to operate with maximum efficiency.
- • Significantly reduce the burden on executive leadership by preparing decision-ready materials that require minimal further elaboration.
- • Play a proactive role in protecting the business while simultaneously enabling strategic growth.
- • Identify potential operational and contractual risks before they escalate into costly problems, implementing preventative measures.
- • Support critical employment-related matters in close partnership with the HR department and external labor counsel, ensuring compliance and mitigating risk.
