- • As the Director of Media Strategy at Location3 Media, you will be at the forefront of shaping audience-first, full-funnel media strategies for a diverse portfolio of enterprise, franchise, and multi-unit brands. This senior leadership position is designed for a visionary who believes in the power of media to drive measurable business growth by expertly connecting audience intent, intricate consumer journeys, and tangible business outcomes. You will be instrumental in managing some of Location3's most complex client programs, architecting sophisticated strategies that not only scale nationally but also deliver exceptional local performance.
- • Your role will involve deep collaboration with our Paid Media, SEO, Marketing Technology, and client leadership teams. Together, you will translate overarching business objectives into integrated, privacy-compliant, and forward-thinking media strategies that are built for the future of digital advertising.
- • **Audience and Journey Strategy:**
- • Develop and continuously refine comprehensive audience frameworks, sophisticated segmentation models, and detailed personas that are crucial for supporting both enterprise-level growth and franchise expansion models.
- • Design innovative cross-channel consumer journey strategies that accurately reflect how target audiences build intent, progress through conversion funnels, and re-engage with brands across various touchpoints.
- • Lead critical audience development initiatives by leveraging a rich blend of first-party data, in-depth platform insights, market research, and behavioral signals to inform strategic decisions.
- • Apply a profound understanding of conversion dynamics, pinpointing precisely how and when media influence is most impactful in driving desired actions.
- • Collaborate closely with CRM and analytics teams to ensure seamless integration and connection of lifecycle strategies across both paid and owned media touchpoints.
- • **Integrated Media Strategy:**
- • Own and orchestrate omnichannel media strategies encompassing paid search, paid social, programmatic display, video, Connected TV (CTV), and owned media channels.
- • Partner effectively with Paid Media and SEO leadership to guarantee that paid, organic, and owned media strategies are harmoniously aligned and mutually reinforcing.
- • Translate complex client objectives into clear, actionable strategies, including precise budget allocation, defined channel roles, robust testing roadmaps, key performance indicators (KPIs), and comprehensive measurement plans.
- • Lead the end-to-end process of planning, forecasting, pacing, audience activation, and ongoing optimization across both enterprise-wide and local program initiatives.
- • Define specific channel roles and optimal sequencing based on the consumer's journey stage and identified audience intent.
- • **Enterprise and Local Strategy:**
- • Design and implement scalable media strategies that effectively support franchise and multi-unit business models while meticulously maintaining essential local relevance and impact.
- • Ensure that developed strategies drive both overarching brand-level growth and critical location-specific outcomes, such as leads, store visits, phone calls, bookings, and other local conversions.
- • Partner with paid and organic media teams to operationalize programs that can be deployed consistently and effectively across hundreds or even thousands of individual locations.
- • Build sophisticated frameworks that dynamically account for varying market maturity, competitive landscapes, seasonal trends, and local demand patterns.
- • **Performance, Innovation, and Platform Leadership:**
- • Establish industry-leading standards for testing methodologies, ongoing optimization, performance management, and media quality assurance across all relevant channels.
- • Lead and champion experimentation initiatives, including incrementality testing, lift studies, geo-targeted testing, creative effectiveness testing, and audience validation.
- • Proactively identify and rigorously evaluate emerging platforms, innovative tactics, and advanced audience tools to enhance targeting precision, improve efficiency, and drive superior results.
- • Collaborate closely with platform representatives to assess new capabilities and translate cutting-edge innovations into scalable, practical applications for our clients.
- • **Measurement and Strategic Narrative:**
- • Partner with the Marketing Technology team to support the development and implementation of closed-loop measurement systems, advanced attribution approaches, and insightful dashboards directly tied to key business outcomes.
- • Create compelling, executive-ready performance narratives that clearly connect media inputs and investments to consumer journey impact and overarching business results.
- • Utilize data-driven insights to recommend strategic optimizations, budget reallocations, and long-term growth opportunities.
- • **Team and Client Leadership:**
- • Serve as a senior strategic advisor to clients, adeptly presenting insights, performance narratives, and forward-looking recommendations that build trust and drive partnership.
- • Influence and guide cross-functional teams across paid and organic media disciplines to ensure the delivery of cohesive strategies and exceptional outcomes.
🎯 Requirements
- • Eight or more years of progressive experience in paid media, audience strategy, or integrated marketing, with a strong emphasis on complex, multi-channel programs.
- • Deep, demonstrable understanding of cross-channel media planning across search, social, programmatic, CTV, and emerging digital platforms.
- • Strategic fluency and hands-on experience with major advertising platforms such as Google Ads, Meta (Facebook/Instagram), LinkedIn, TikTok, and leading Demand-Side Platforms (DSPs).
- • Strong analytical and measurement literacy, including proficiency in interpreting GA4 data, defining KPIs, understanding UTM governance, grasping attribution concepts, and designing/interpreting experimentation frameworks.
- • Proven experience in developing comprehensive audience strategies, encompassing persona creation, segmentation models, first-party data activation, suppression logic, and full-funnel journey mapping.
- • Ability to architect detailed media plans that clearly articulate budget allocation, optimal channel mix, strategic sequencing, testing agendas, and forecasted business outcomes.
- • Solid understanding of how creative and messaging strategies intersect with audience behavior, journey stage, and platform context.
- • Exceptional communication and storytelling skills, with a proven ability to translate complex performance data into clear, concise, and executive-ready recommendations.
- • Experience supporting enterprise, franchise, or multi-unit business models, with a track record of scaling national strategies into effective, measurable local execution.
