📋 Description

• As Director of Platform Engineering at Filigran SAS, you will lead a team of 14 platform engineers to drive the technical execution and strategic evolution of the company’s core infrastructure, ensuring the reliability, scalability, and security of its SaaS and self-hosted cybersecurity platforms. This role is critical to supporting Filigran’s mission of revolutionizing cyber threat management through open-source innovation, directly impacting over 6,000 global organizations that rely on its solutions.
• You will own the end-to-end platform roadmap across three distinct verticals — Filigran Cloud (bare-metal Kubernetes), XTM Suite Deployment Artifacts (Helm, Docker, Appliance images), and SaaS Management (tenant lifecycle, automation, and operations) — translating company priorities into actionable engineering goals while maintaining operational excellence, SLA compliance, and a culture of technical ownership.
• You will partner closely with the VP of Platform Engineering and a Technical Product Manager to balance people leadership, architectural strategy, and delivery execution, enabling you to focus on team growth, system reliability, and long-term platform health rather than day-to-day task management.
• You will foster a high-trust, high-performance engineering culture by running regular 1:1s, leading performance cycles, mentoring senior engineers, and promoting automation-first, AI-assisted, and as-code practices across Kubernetes, IaC (Terraform/Ansible), CI/CD, and observability stacks.
• You will represent Platform Engineering in cross-functional leadership forums, collaborating with Security & Compliance, Software Engineering, and Product teams to ensure infrastructure meets SOC 2, ISO 27001 standards and supports secure, compliant, and scalable deployment practices.
• You will drive continuous improvement in incident response, on-call practices, and post-mortem culture, ensuring Filigran Cloud and SaaS platforms maintain high availability and resilience under pressure, while mentoring emerging leaders and building internal leadership capacity through strategic hiring and promotion.

🎯 Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in platform engineering, DevOps, SRE, or infrastructure engineering
• 3+ years in an engineering leadership role managing engineers directly, with proven ability to hire, grow, and retain senior talent
• Strong technical credibility in at least two of: bare-metal/Kubernetes, cloud-native (AWS/Azure/GCP), observability, IaC (Terraform/Ansible), or packaging/distribution (Helm/Docker)
• Fluency in English and French, with a remote-first mindset and availability within ±2h of CET
• Experience with Agentic AI for automating repetitive tasks in documentation, management, and organizational workflows
