- • As Director of Product Management at TaaraConnect Inc., you will define and drive the product strategy for a pioneering optical wireless connectivity technology born from X, Google’s moonshot factory, helping to shape a new category that combines fiber-like speed with wireless flexibility to solve global infrastructure challenges.
- • You will own end-to-end product outcomes — from customer discovery and roadmap definition to launch and adoption — directly impacting revenue growth, market expansion, and competitive positioning against microwave, fiber, and satellite solutions.
- • Day to day, you will define and drive the product roadmap aligned with company goals, customer needs, and revenue opportunities, ensuring prioritization balances user experience, technical feasibility, and business impact.
- • You will translate customer needs into clear product requirements and prioritized backlogs, partnering closely with engineering to deliver high-quality products on time while maintaining rigorous standards for performance and reliability.
- • Working directly with telecommunications providers and infrastructure customers, you will validate product direction through real-world use cases, gathering insights to refine solutions for deployment and operational efficiency.
- • You will collaborate with sales, marketing, and customer success teams to enable successful product launches, develop go-to-market strategies, and drive adoption across target markets.
- • You will drive prioritization decisions across features, bugs, and technical investments, using data-driven analysis to optimize resource allocation and maximize impact.
- • You will mentor and coach product managers on the team, fostering a culture of excellence, customer obsession, and strategic thinking in a high-growth, ambiguous environment.
- • Through your leadership, you will build products that unlock new revenue streams, improve user experience by reducing friction in deployment and operations, and establish Taara as a leader in next-generation connectivity.
- • You will enable Taara to compete effectively with legacy and emerging solutions by translating complex telecom and infrastructure challenges into scalable, customer-centric product innovations.
- • In this role, you will deepen your expertise in optical wireless systems, networking protocols (including FCAPS, Layer 2 switching, and on-prem deployments), and infrastructure product strategy while operating at the frontier of global communications technology.
- • You will achieve significant professional growth by leading a critical product portfolio in a fast-moving, mission-driven company backed by X’s legacy of moonshot innovation, with direct influence on Taara’s trajectory and long-term success.
🎯 Requirements
- • 10+ years of product management experience, preferably in telecom, networking, or infrastructure products
- • Strong understanding of networking concepts (e.g., FCAPS, fiber, microwave, Layer 2 switching, on-prem deployments)
- • Experience owning product roadmaps and driving cross-functional execution
- • Ability to translate customer needs into clear product direction and prioritized backlogs
- • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- • Excellent communication skills and ability to influence stakeholders
- • BSEE. Preferably an MBA
- • Ability to work in the Sunnyvale office at least 3 days per week
