- • As Director of Solution Engineering at Pax8, you will architect and lead the technical heartbeat of the sales organization, ensuring every customer interaction before and after the sale is powered by expertise, confidence, and clarity.
- • You will lead and mentor Solution Engineering Managers to build high-performing, engaged teams; design and evolve department structure to support scale and growth; define and drive team OKRs aligned with business objectives; partner strategically with Sales leadership to ensure world-class technical sales interactions; conduct meaningful performance reviews that unlock career growth; champion Pax8 Values and build a culture rooted in trust, authenticity, and accountability; identify training needs and ensure access to development opportunities; optimize processes to improve efficiency, quality, and measurable business impact; and represent Solution Engineering at the executive level with clarity and confidence.
- • You will join Pax8’s Solution Engineering team, which supports 35,000 MSP partners across the Cloud Marketplace, reporting to the VP of Solution Engineering and leading Solution Engineering Managers and technical pre/post-sales teams in a remote or hybrid work environment with occasional travel (15–25%).
- • In this role, you will build strong relationships with Sales leadership and key stakeholders within 90 days; assess team structure, performance metrics, and capability gaps; establish clear OKRs aligned to company objectives; implement performance review cadence and talent development plans; execute strategic initiatives that improve team performance or sales alignment within 120 days; optimize call quality standards; identify and implement training improvements; demonstrate measurable improvements in pre- and post-sales technical engagement quality within 6 months; strengthen managerial leadership bench and succession readiness; increase operational efficiency through process improvements; and within 12 months, build a high-performing, scalable Solution Engineering organization, drive short-to-mid-term business impact, develop future leaders, and be known as the executive who translates big vision into real results.
🎯 Requirements
- • 5+ years of relevant experience in the MSP or Channel space, including 3+ years leading managers
- • An AI Native mindset
- • Prior experience in a quota-carrying role preferred
- • Proven track record of delivering results even under non-ideal conditions
- • Ability to build, coach, and elevate high-performing teams
- • Skill in instilling trust through honesty, integrity, and authenticity
- • Executive presence and clarity in communication
- • Ability to translate forward-looking strategy into actionable execution plans
- • Skill in securing and deploying resources effectively
- • Ability to paint a compelling vision that motivates people to move
- • Bachelor’s degree (B.A./B.S.) in a related field or equivalent work experience
