📋 Description

  • Own all aspects of Hightop Health’s technology infrastructure, including IT systems, cybersecurity, data platforms, EHR administration, and vendor management as the sole internal technology resource.
  • Serve as primary point of accountability for technology operations, ensuring alignment with organizational goals, financial objectives, and compliance requirements across all departments.
  • Directly manage and oversee relationships with Managed Service Providers (MSPs) and third-party vendors for infrastructure, help desk, network support, and security services, while identifying and closing service gaps and overlapping responsibilities.
  • Administer and serve as the primary liaison for Athena Health EHR system, coordinating vendor communications, operational needs, and integrations with SFDC, Power BI, and other platforms.
  • Lead technology planning and governance by establishing enterprise-wide policies, standards, operating procedures, and multi-year technology roadmaps in coordination with CFO, COO, and Operations leadership.
  • Drive major technology initiatives including new location openings, acquisitions, integrations, telephony upgrades, infrastructure modernization, software implementations, and compliance-related projects.
  • Develop and execute a data strategy to aggregate company data from disparate platforms into a centralized repository for business intelligence reporting via Power BI.
  • Ensure full compliance with HIPAA regulations, SOC2 Type 2 readiness, and HITRUST frameworks, including policy development, audit preparation, incident response governance, and cybersecurity awareness programs.
  • Manage all technology budgeting and financial oversight: develop annual budgets, forecast recurring expenses, analyze ROI on technology investments, review vendor contracts, manage capital expenditures, and oversee software licensing costs.
  • Translate technical recommendations into executive-level insights, presenting technology risks, opportunities, and performance metrics to leadership through dashboards and reports.
  • Act as hands-on executor across all technology domains in the near term, personally managing tasks outside vendor scope including EHR configuration, data pipeline setup, endpoint management, and security program implementation.
  • Balance competing operational demands, compliance obligations, financial constraints, and strategic priorities while scaling technology capabilities to support organic growth and acquisitions.
  • Evaluate vendor performance through quarterly business reviews, contract renewals, and service-level agreement enforcement to ensure accountability and value delivery.
  • Build and scale the company’s internal technology function over time, transitioning from sole practitioner to leader of a growing team as the organization expands.
  • Serve as the central communication bridge between executive leadership and external technology providers, ensuring clarity, alignment, and timely decision-making on all technology matters.
  • Maintain continuous oversight of cybersecurity programs, vendor risk management, and regulatory readiness across all locations and systems.
  • Monitor and report on technology project timelines, budgets, risks, and dependencies to executive leadership with transparency and data-driven insights.
  • Ensure all technology investments are strategically aligned with Hightop Health’s mission of delivering evidence-based, measurement-driven, integrative mental health care.
