Engineering Team Leader, Elements Team

📋 Description

• • Lead the Elements team at FundraiseUp, a global fundraising platform powering tens of millions in monthly donations for nonprofits like UNICEF and the Alzheimer’s Association, by guiding 3-5 fullstack developers in building embedded widgets that drive donations and display impact statistics.
• • Day-to-day responsibilities include writing and reviewing code (70/30 split favoring management), making technical decisions, preparing designs, owning feature delivery, managing technical debt, mentoring engineers, conducting 1:1s and performance reviews, onboarding new members, and ensuring adherence to engineering guidelines.
• • Join a distributed engineering team of 80+ professionals across Serbia, Spain, Poland, Portugal, Georgia, Armenia, Turkey, and Cyprus, where deep technical curiosity, knowledge sharing, and product-minded collaboration are valued in a flat, politics-free culture.
• • Grow as a technical leader by influencing architecture decisions, mentoring senior engineers, shaping team processes, and contributing to a product used by global nonprofits, while strengthening fullstack expertise in TypeScript, Node.js, MongoDB, Kafka, and Cloudflare Workers.
