📋 Description
- • Lead a team responsible for developing and launching innovative digital-first property and casualty (P&C) auto and umbrella insurance products aligned with member needs and market risks.
- • Own and maintain the central ledger of product versions, including rules, rates, coverage (ROC), documentation, strategic intent, and guardrails for Auto and Umbrella lines.
- • Partner with the Go To Market (GTM) team to streamline processes that increase the speed and quality of product delivery while ensuring strong communication between Product Delivery and GTM.
- • Develop, evaluate, and recommend product strategies including make/buy/ally decisions for new product offerings and enhancements to existing products.
- • Generate creative product and coverage solutions to maintain a dynamic and competitive product development pipeline.
- • Analyze internal and external data, member feedback, and competitive market trends to inform product strategy and enhance competitive intelligence.
- • Oversee post-launch maintenance and underwriting of new products, adjusting rules, rates, and forms based on performance, member needs, and market shifts.
- • Coordinate with Legal, Compliance, and Risk Management teams to ensure all product offerings adhere to applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies.
- • Direct the analysis and evaluation of multiple product performance metrics prior to full launch to optimize product readiness and market fit.
- • Ensure product development teams deliver comprehensive sales support across all distribution channels, including digital platforms, mobile apps, and contact centers.
- • Communicate the value proposition of new products clearly and persuasively to executives, cross-functional teams, and leadership at all levels.
- • Coach and develop direct reports to drive high performance, engagement, and professional growth within the product development team.
- • Identify, measure, monitor, and control business risks in alignment with USAA’s risk and compliance frameworks.
- • Maintain deep knowledge of underwriting performance, business trends, and financial outcomes for products in scope.
- • Lead agile product development processes while managing multiple products simultaneously across the P&C Auto and Umbrella lines.
- • Apply full Product Development Life Cycle (PDLC) knowledge to guide products from concept through launch and maturation.
- • Serve as a cross-functional expert supporting initiatives in product development, compliance, operational improvements, claims management, vendor management, and system releases.
