• • We are seeking a visionary and transformational Director of Quality Assurance to spearhead a fundamental shift in how quality is delivered across Delinea’s identity security platform. This is a unique opportunity to redefine QA leadership, moving beyond traditional methodologies to embrace an AI-native quality future. The core of this role involves building and executing a strategy where AI takes on the majority of quality assurance tasks, including acceptance criteria generation, test case creation, automated execution, root cause analysis, and defect triage. QA engineers will evolve into quality architects, responsible for designing, orchestrating, and governing these sophisticated AI-driven quality systems.
• • The ideal candidate possesses extensive experience leading QA organizations through significant transformations, a deep understanding of current and emerging AI-powered testing tools, and the ability to navigate the organizational change necessary to transition an engineering culture from manual testing to AI-native quality practices. You will be accountable for the strategy, roadmap, and execution of this critical transformation, all while upholding the stringent quality standards essential for enterprise security software.
• • Delinea is developing a unified identity authorization platform that integrates privileged access management, secrets management, authorization, and cloud security. The inherent complexity of our product portfolio, encompassing on-premises, cloud, and hybrid deployments across hundreds of target system types, necessitates a quality approach that transcends the limitations of traditional manual testing. We have a clear vision for AI-driven quality and require a leader who can build and execute the roadmap to achieve this ambitious goal.
• • This pivotal role reports to the Senior Director of Engineering and collaborates closely with product management, development leadership, and security teams to deeply embed quality throughout the entire software development lifecycle. Your influence will be instrumental in shaping our approach to quality, ensuring our products meet the highest standards of reliability, security, and performance.
• • Key Responsibilities include:
• • Strategic Leadership: You will lead the AI quality roadmap, progressively integrating AI across all QA functions. This involves evaluating and implementing cutting-edge AI tools for test generation, developing self-healing test suites, and establishing intelligent defect triage processes. You will define AI-specific Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to meticulously track the transition from manual to AI-driven quality practices, ensuring data-driven decision-making and continuous improvement.
• • Organizational Evolution: Lead the transition of QA engineers from manual testers to sophisticated quality architects who can effectively orchestrate AI-driven systems. This requires upskilling the QA organization through targeted training in areas such as prompt engineering, AI orchestration, and meta-QA practices. You will foster an experimental culture focused on piloting AI capabilities, rigorously measuring results, and enabling rapid iteration and innovation.
• • Quality Strategy & Execution: Own and deliver measurable improvements in customer-reported defects and critical severity rates. Implement AI-driven prioritization to focus testing efforts on high-impact code changes and historically defect-prone areas. Drive the transition from current manual testing burdens to near-zero through the implementation of AI-generated automation and intelligent execution strategies. Provide executive visibility through built-in, real-time dashboards that offer clear quality health insights for both executive and operational teams.
• • Cross-functional Impact: Embed quality practices early in the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC), shifting the organizational mindset from a "test-and-find" approach to a "prevent-and-detect" paradigm. Ensure AI-generated acceptance criteria and test coverage are meticulously aligned with critical customer use cases and stringent security requirements. Partner closely with security teams to guarantee that AI-driven testing methodologies meet the exceptionally high-security standards demanded by our Privileged Access Management (PAM) products.
