  • • Lead the development of the scientific narrative for Systemic Lupus Erythematosus (SLE) and Cutaneous Lupus Erythematosus (CLE), focusing on unmet medical needs, disease mechanisms, and therapeutic actions.
  • • Organize and execute scientific symposia at key global medical congresses aligned with medical affairs objectives.
  • • Develop scientific content for field-based medical personnel, including educational materials such as "symposia in a box."
  • • Create training resources for scientific and medical teams to support onboarding and ongoing education in lupus and related immunology areas.
  • • Chair the scientific narrative cross-functional working group to ensure alignment across departments and content fitness for intended use.
  • • Collaborate with clinical development leads, health economics and outcomes research (HEOR) leads, and publication leads to build core scientific narratives and supporting materials.
  • • Manage external medical communication vendors, including reviewing and approving statements of work (SOWs) and invoices.
  • • Ensure all scientific content maintains credibility and accuracy while navigating complex regulatory and compliance requirements across global markets.
  • • Adapt scientific resources to meet regional regulatory and compliance differences while maintaining alignment with global medical strategy and publication plans.
  • • Align all communications with the company’s core scientific platform, strategic publication plan, and global medical affairs objectives.
  • • Serve as a key contributor to the strategic direction of the immunology portfolio within Global Medical Affairs.
  • • Translate complex scientific data into compelling, audience-appropriate narratives for diverse stakeholders including healthcare professionals, internal teams, and external partners.
  • • Oversee the end-to-end development of scientific communication assets from concept through delivery, ensuring timeliness, quality, and compliance.
  • • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of evolving scientific, regulatory, and market landscapes in rheumatology and dermatology.
  • • Provide leadership in cross-functional project management to drive timely execution of medical affairs initiatives.

🎯 Requirements

  • • MD, PharmD, or PhD degree in a relevant life science field
  • • 8+ years of experience in Medical Affairs, including experience in medical communications
  • • Proven track record in scientific content development and narrative creation
  • • Experience leading scientific symposia and educational initiatives
  • • Exceptional project management abilities
  • • Strong ability to work effectively in a matrix environment
